Memorable experience - A really wonderful experience that I highly recommend. The van was very comfortable. Lunch was outdoors in a pretty setting and dinner was in a nice restaurant. Both meals were quite good. Our driver/guide Todd was friendly, accommodating & importantly a great driver. We were a group of 11 strangers of varying ages and his entertaining personality enabled us to have fun as a group. He had a wealth of knowledge & information at each of our stops & along the way. There were so many things we learned & sights we saw at that we would not have been able to do on our own. Volcano National Park is a must see! We made many stops in the park. Some were a sight Todd wanted to show us and others required short walks, but each place was awe inspiring. We ended our day by circling back to the park after dinner to witness a lava glow & for stargazing which were both impressive and amazing. It was a very long day but totally worth it.

Outstanding Day! - My husband and I took this tour on 3/6/2025 knowing that we would be embarking on a 12-hour day to see some of the things on our bucket list. What I soon discovered was that this tour was going to be a very memorable day! Our tour guide, Dreu Basaldua was amazing! He memorized our names immediately and continued to refer to us occasionally throughout the day, as well as the other two (2) couples that joined us. Dreu shared a wealth of information; everything from Island history, to Hawaiian culture to overall knowledge of all of the places we visited and the plants and animals on the Island. Dreu made the day fun, educational and entertaining! His frequent outfit changes that coordinated with each stop added a very personal touch. The coffee farm tour was educational, the Kona coffee was great and the lunch (hot) that we had was tasty! The Panalu'u Bake Shop and the Panalu'u Black Sand Beach were in my top 3 of the day! The Malasadas at the bake shop were fabulous and we saw 5 green sea turtles at the beach. My #1 of the day was Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park, specifically the Kilauea Overlook and the view of the Crater from the Volcano House ; although the volcanoe had stopped erupting the view was outstanding! I also appreciated the bathroom stops! We wrapped up the day with a scrumptious dinner at Volcano's Lava Rock Cafe and stargazing. I don't know how Dreu manages to remember so many details, but his knowledge was impressive! We had a fabulous weather day and learned more than I could possibly remember. Amazing Adventures!! - The 12 hour tour was the perfect day to see the Island and set you up to take adventures on your own. We saw so many beautiful sights, Coffee plantation, black sand beach, town and countryside, lava fields and lava tubes. Did I mention the stars! Dreu was the best tour guide ever!!!! He had so much information about the island, culture, history, geology, and flora. Did I mention the stars! He was so entertaining and considerate to all the passangers and we always knew what our next adventure would be. He taught us to be repectful and reverent towards the various locations on the island. We heard amazing stories of the gods and goddess, volcanoes, culture, history of the people of Hawaii. We had such a wonderful time it is hard to put into words, but we will remember it for a lifetime. Make sure to fit this tour into your schedule and get the best guide...Dreu! Aloha, Bob and Claudia

Best thing we did on our trip to the Big Island - This was the best thing we did on our trip to the big island. We saved it for one of the last few days of our trip, so the anticipation of this, was pretty high. From the second we met our tour guide Dreu, at the shuttle pick-up, thee experience was amazing. Dreu made my wife and I feel right at home - we were his first pick up of the day. He started the tour with only us, telling us about the volcano we were staying on, and he was on throughout all thee pick ups of the other guests. He basically went 13 hours straight with talking and educating the group about the island. He was a wealth of information, knowing about the coffee plantation, black sand beach , of course volcanoes, and star gazing. We spend alot of time at volcano national park, and it was a breathtaking experience with some of the views. We were very fortunate that the pause on the eruption lifted while we were there, in fact we went back to the see the start of the eruption - flashing occurred, after dinner. Later while driving away the eruption began and we could see the lights in the distance. Totally unexpected by all. We had the perfect day, weather was great, skies were pretty clear for star gazing, and having such a great guide, made this the best experience on the island.

A day on the big island that was amazing. - Drue Basaldua was a very fun and informative guide. There was very little time in the 12 hour tour that he was not telling us something about the area we were in. He ensured everyone had a good time and knew what was next. He kept the 12 hours moving but at the same time we had ample time to explore various stops. Many of the things we wanted to do in Hawaii were part of the trip with the addition of a lot of information so we learned a lot.

Great tour! - What a great tour with Dreu! He shared his knowledge and respect of Hawaiian culture, history, botany, astronomy and volcanos with such enthusiasm it was contagious. The sights and experiences were made more memorable with his commentaries. He was probably the most knowledgeable guide we have ever experienced. And what a collection of flat brim ball caps and sunglasses. Fantastic day!

Amazing Tour made possible by Drue - Drue made our 12-hour Big Island tour unforgettable with his deep knowledge, engaging storytelling, and respect for Hawaiian culture. From the black sand beach to Volcanoes National Park, his insights and passion brought each site to life. His explanations of volcanic activity, history, and ecosystems were both educational and captivating. Best Tour Ever! - The best tour I have ever been on due to Dreu our tour guide and the destinations. He was an expert on the history and culture of the Big Island. He was able to keep our group of 12 engaged for the entire trip. A long day, but well worth the time for the experience. We saw and experience all that was advertised, the Punalu'u black sand beach with the sea turtles, the Lava tubes, the steam shafts, the incredible Volcano rim, we also got to see a small lava glow and finished with the amazing stargazing. My wife also enjoyed the Kona coffee farm and the Punalu'u bakery shop. I highly recommend this tour, if you take this or any of the other Wasabi tours, be sure to request Dreu Basaldu-Lead Guide.
