King of the Road... - This was a super fun trek at the Volcano park. There are several areas you would want to see in the park. The roads are narrow, and the parking is limited. With the E-Bikes you have the right of way on the roads, and it is really fast to get from one section to the other. The operators are patient with new riders and very knowledgeable with the Hawaiian history and the park. This was definatly a worth while experience.

Rainforest Volcano Delight - The biking through the park is way better than driving. Our guide Tyler was awesome. though I like biking I’m a chicken s$&t and was a little scared of the e-bike - but it’s totally easy. You start out on a path through the rainforest which is so pretty lush green with birds chirping, then you go up the road, check out the visitors center and art gallery and stop at a few other spots like the big crater that had steaming vents while we were there, we also went through a lava tube, which was definitely a unique experience then the road again through the rainforest.

It was okay but the fact... - It was okay but the fact that you ride the bike in the road where the cars are driving it makes it a little scary. To be honest I thought the tour will be in a private area but I didn’t see what’s the special about it when I can drive to the area to watch the volcano

Would NOT recommend this Fat Tire E-Bike tour - I would not recommend this tour unless you are adept at riding a motorcycle. These e-bikes are heavy and powerful; you can easily lose control of them. We attempted this tour but, early in the tour, we crashed and sustained injuries to the extent that I had to go to the local ER. Since this happened near the beginning of the tour, we requested at least a partial refund of what we had paid. They refused to refund anything.

Recipe for disaster - Such a bummer, we were so excited for this adventure! We went with our moms, who are both older. It was raining and our moms were trying to sign the waiver on the wet iPad and the staff gave instructions when they were not in earshot. In addition, my mother-in-law’s bike was too tall for her and she couldn’t reach the ground without leaning it—and those bikes are heavy. That, combined with the rain and having to first step on the e-bikes on a fast road with intermittent cars, was a recipe for disaster for my mother-in-law. She panicked and lost control, going down the ravine and ran into the rock wall. Paramedics were called. Thankfully, she didn’t have a concussion, but she’s bruised all over her body and has two broken bones in her wrist. Needless to say, we spent the day in the ER instead of touring the volcano. The staff told us while we were waiting for the paramedics that the company would not refund us. Such a bummer. And no one reached out to see if she was okay or check in. I emailed them, but they haven’t responded. I think this could have been prevented by making sure the bike was the right fit, everyone heard instructions, and starting practice in a paved parking lot.
