Imagine engaging in first-rate big game fishing in an absolutely tropical paradise! Step onto the Kona Cowboy for a journey across the stunning, azure sea of Kailua-Kona, HI, for the most unforgettable fishing expedition you’ll ever embark on!

Your adventure will commence on a 35’ Bertram sport fishing vessel that can house up to four avid fishermen. Our mission will be to pursue Blue Marlin, Mahi Mahi, Tuna, among other species. We’ll have you trolling the minute we depart from the dock. We’ll equip you with high-grade fishing gear to enable you to wrestle and catch your dream fish.

We welcome on board anglers of any age and expertise!

Great Captain and Mate - We had a great time on the Kona Cowboy. Captain Gaige worked very hard to get our youngest son his marlin. He and his mate made us feel very comfortable and saw to our needs. We have been on several charter trips and Kona Cowboy was by far the best. We will definitely book with them again.

Kona Cowboys for the WIN!!! - My brother-in-law and my nephew (11yo fish’aholic) booked Kona Cowboys and highly recommend! This was our 3rd sport fishing charter (Cabo & San Diego) and by far the best! Gaige & Nānoa clearly knew what they were doing and offered an amazing experience. They helped us whenever needed and gave us helpful tips the entire time. Customer service wise, they constantly checked to make sure we had what we needed and were comfortable. Pulled in 3 blue marlins and couldn’t be happier!

Fishing - The Captain Gaige and Crew Beau were exceptional hosts - although we did not catch any fish - the boat ride was fantastic - boat was in super shape - very clean - would definitely do it again in the future

Well worth your time! - What a great time on the Kona Cowboy! While we didn’t catch any fish, I would highly recommend taking the time to just enjoy the ocean and views. My 7 year old son had an excellent time! The crew was top notch and the boat was immaculate. I would 100% go again with the Kona Cowboy!

Best fishing in Kona! - Great crew! Boat was stocked with goodies and a relaxing spot to sit while waiting for the fish to bite. My 8 year old was given proper introduction to reel in a 400lb Marlin(with a little help from his dad and the crew). Great day on the water! Can’t wait to cowboy up on our next visit to Kona!

Clean boat, Great fishing - Half day charter, Great knowledge captain and crew, knew the waters well to land 6 large Ono in a single trip which was perfect for helping a 9yo on their first fishing charter. Would recommend. left us plenty of fish for 2 dinners.

Clean, comfortable boat with a ver knowledgeable crew - Incredible. Loved it. We didn’t catch fish until the end of the trip but even if we hadn’t caught anything it would have been worth it. Nice boat. Great crew. Tournament class boat and equipment. Good sized boat. Comfortable for four of us, three of whom are leas enthusiastic about fishing than the fourth. Very knowledgeable crew. Shawn knows his stuff. He had multiple presentations at varying depths. Very strategic approach. We fished for Ono. Captain Gordon was great as was first-mate Gauge. Gauge even managed to capture us landing fish on video. Would definitely do it again.
