Flowers Waterfalls and Views... Oh My - Our family thoroughly enjoyed our private tour with Wasabi Tours. Derek our guide was knowledgeable, adaptive, and provided for amazing experiences. The waterfall tour was absolutely stunning, and the swim in the waterfall pool was on par with the best waterfalls in the world. I would 100% recommend taking the tour with Wasabi Tours, and Derek especially provided great humor and insight into our tour with his 20 years of experience on Hawaii.

Waterfall experience - We thoroughly enjoyed this day. Dreu was punctual, fun and we had the best time. He was very knowledgeable and talked about the island while keeping it lively and interesting. He gave us the highlights without being boring and we appreciated the experience. He talked just enough but also gave us down time to soak it all in, which we appreciated. During the down time he had the perfect music to entertain. He was very considerate of our needs keeping us comfortable and well fed! Lunch was very good and we had a little taste of the island.
He was very prepared considering the weather could change on a dime and luckily we did not have to go to plan B!
The botanical garden was awesome and the waterfalls were spectacular. Some of us even got to swim in one!
We appreciated him having the van cool and waiting and he even decorated the inside with a new island flower at each stop. He also entertained us with his costume changes (different hat and sunglasses at each stop)
At the end he summarized the day and helped us reflect. It was an action packed day made better by an excellent guide. Think you!

Big Island Waterfall tour - Derek was our guide for the tour and picked us up at Kona Coast Resort. It was a long day but a fun day. Derek was entertaining, funny, and had a lot of knowledge from the history of the island, climates, geography, and culture. He made sure we were having a great time throughout the day. The highlights were the botanical gardens and private waterfalls. A hot lunch was provided with chicken, fish, rice, and sweet potatoes. Derek provided snacks throughout the day. They have life vests at the waterfalls if you need it but pack your own water shoes. They’ll come in handy for getting in and out of the water at the falls. If you want to see a lot of hidden gems in Hawaii without having to drive and worry about parking, access, or other logistics, I highly recommend this tour!

Magical colors - The falls were breathtaking and the Botanic Gardens are a must see! The variety and colors are unreal! Our guide, Derek, allowed us ample time to explore all the sights.

Derek is amazing tour guide! - What an amazing day we had. Derek our guide was very knowledgeable about the island, given hiles been here for 2 decades. It was really nice to have someone drive you all day; he was very accommodating. Fair warning tho, when they say there's a bit of a hike, make sure to wear comfortable shoes. Lots of stairs and lost of walking (lots of inclines). It was a great way to see the island. My favorite was swimming in the water falls, my husband's favorite was the botanical gardens. Highly recommend, make sure to plan to be out for a good 10+ hrs! Derek was awesome! Thanks for the tour and hospitality!

Great waterfall tour - Fantastic water falls and swim in a private waterfall pool. Driver / tour guide was extremely knowledgeable about the Big Island volcanoes their history of eruptions and about the Island history. He made a special stop to let us see some dolphins and sea turtles that was not a normal part of the tour. The lunch provided was very good and the lunch location very nice.

Fun romp around waterfalls, tropic beauty and more! - We had an incredible tour with Stefan last week, thoroughly enjoying the stunning beauty while learning more about the Hawaiian culture and history. The waterfalls we visited were stunning, as well as the botanical garden and we even got to swim in a private waterfall area- a highlight and must-do! Although we had an impressive number of stops, we were encouraged us to savor each experience and we never felt rushed.
Stefan was a fun and engaging tour guide and he is knowledgeable in so many different areas! He also has a great way with people and everywhere we went, people seemed to know him! Throughout the tour, we were well-cared for The food, snacks and beverages kept coming.
We highly recommend this tour with Wasabi Tours and Stefan!

Awesome - We took the small group big island waterfall tours in August 2024. We were a group of 6 paired with 7 of our newest friends. Our guide was Dreu and he navigated the best tour, shared with us a ton of local history and made our day 'mo better'. He picked us up at our hotel in waikaloa and immediately got on the road. He facilitated some tour bus introductions to make us even more comfortable. We made our way to Waipi'o valley lookout and the weather had just cleared, gorgeous view. We hit Akaka falls state park and moseyed our way to the falls. After that, we grabbed lunch at a nearby park next to the water. Off we went to the Hawaii tropical Botanical gardens, which was spectacular. You could spend hours here and not see it all but it was a perfect hour to get through all the trails. Our next stop was the Private waterfalls (kulaniapia falls) where we had a hike down but we're able to swim and relax. After that was a quick snack and then a stop at Rainbow Falls to grab some pictures. Dreu finished the tour driving us safely back and imparting some final wisdom. Overall we had a great time!!

Kona Waterfalls - The sites were great. Kona is amazing.
Unfortunately our tour guide was rude and drove very aggressively.
Waterfalls and views were awesome. Too bad our driver was bad.
