- Greenwell Farms - Nestled on the volcanic slopes, this area offers an ideal climate for the renowned Kona Coffee. Hawaii is the only U.S. state that cultivates coffee, with all beans hand-picked. Discover the process of growing, harvesting, and packaging Kona coffee, and enjoy samples of some of the finest brews.
- Please note that the coffee farm may not always be Greenwell Farms. Occasionally, due to closures, the tour may visit Bay View Farm instead.
- The Painted Church - Traveling south towards South Kona and through Captain Cook Village, the tour will visit the renowned “Painted Church,” famous for its interior wooden walls adorned with 3D biblical depictions painted with ordinary house paint.
- Honaunau Poke Shop - A stop is made to purchase lunch from a local vendor in this area. Please be aware that this lunch stop may not be open on certain days, and an alternative option will be provided.
- Kaloko-Honokohau National Historical Park - The Kaloko-Honokohau National Historical Park Visitor Center is located at the National Historic Landmarked archaeological site known as the Honokōhau Settlement. Established on November 10, 1978, the park aims to preserve, protect, and interpret traditional native Hawaiian activities and culture.
- Honokohau Marina & Small Boat Harbor - The Honokohau Turtle Trail Walk (30 min) offers an easy but uneven path. Following this, guests can enjoy a leisurely stroll down a trail (100 yards, 10 min walk) to a stunning white sand beach and an archaeological site featuring a Hawaiian Fish Trap made with lava rock and a reconstructed Hawaiian Hut. This area is also home to local wildlife, including native birds and Hawaiian green sea turtles!

Great tour of Kona - My tour guide was Kelvin. Kelvin grew up in Hawaii and was very knowledgeable. He did a great job telling us all about Kona and each stop we visited. The lunch spot he chose had great food. Highly recommend this tour. A large number of people on this tour came from a cruise.

Excellent tour of Kona - Kelvin was an excellent guide on this tour of Kona. This was a great mix of activities & you will learn a lot about the island & Hawaiian culture. I would highly recommend it.

Hawaii cruise shore excursion to big island - Kelvin is a great guide and driver. He is knowledge about coffee farm and historical park. He allocates the time just right, always gives us enough time to explore ourselves after his introduction. The painted church is unique. We get to see one sea turtle. He is attentive to everyone on the bus, gave us options to the end. Today is a highlight of our Hawaii vacation.

Kona and Turtles! - Kelvin was great! We had a wonderful time drinking coffee and watching turtles. My only complaint is there was not a stool to help get off and on the shuttle.

Fun Tour - Kelvin was awesome very knowledgeable and friendly. This tour is one of the best on Kona. My wife and I truly enjoyed all the stops. You’re gonna love seeing the turtles.

Great tour of Kona! - Our tour guide “Rusty” was a great driver and provided continuous expert commentary throughout, keeping the day fun and enjoyable for all of us! She went out of her way to make sure we had a great experience, and we would highly recommend her to anyone!

Volcanos, waterfalls, culture, Hawi'i Volcano Park - Rusty was ane excellent tour guide. I wish I could write as fast as she talks. Every statement seemed notable. Thank you for doing your best to quiet the scatter noise. So hard to hear when others are talking and I didn't want to miss anything. Take the tour, ask for Rusty

Coffee, Coffee, Coffee - Our kona experience was great. We had Edmond who was wonderful, full of knowledge, approachable and kind, LOTS of coffee talk - so if you are not into coffee or hearing about it, this is not the best tour for you.
Was looking forward to the sea turtles the most, but only got small glimpses of them in the water from the beach.
Was a fun day - maybe an hour to long, but that’s ok - we still had a great time.

Didn't listen, almost missed my boat - Would have been a super tour EXCEPT left an hour late, didn't respect my need to be back in port. Although billed as good for cruise passengers, we waited for the next ship to dock, left an hour late. About 1415, I realized that given the stops left on the agenda, not only would we not be back by the promised time of 1530, but not even by my absolute layest of 1615. REPEATEDLY informed guide stating at *1415* that I was going to miss my ship (the other ship was an hour behind mine, so the other folks on the tour did not have an issue. ) "No worries - as long as we leave the blowhole by 1545 we'll be fine." Then encouraged everyone to get ice cream and check out the shops at the Cook statue stop, which should've taken 5 minutes.
Finally left the coffee plantation at 1545 with the blowhole still to come. Again told guide we needed to return NOW. Nope, he went to blowhole. As we drove up ag 1605, i asked how far to ship. "20 minutes." All aboard was 1630 and I had to get through port. He finally listened, did not stop, just turned around. Final insult: dropped me at the WRONG GATE into the port. I had to run, everyone from HAL was calling (thank God it was in US and I had cell access!), only made ship because they sent a golf cart out looking for me. They were literally pulling up the gangplank as I stepped off it; had to stand aside so they could drag it in.
Needless to say, I spent over 2 hours with my stomach in knots and frustrated that the guide just didn't listen and promised me repeatedly 1530, no, 1545, no, 1600, no, 1615 arrival at ship, only to get me to wrong gate at 1630.
