Connecting to nature - This is a special place and it was a great experience learning about it from Bri. We did the 1.5 hr guided tour and I left feeling refreshed after our “forest bathing” experience. I left with a newfound appreciation for nature thanks to Bri. It was a great way to get up close and personal with Hawai’i. At the entrance they have a small gift shop where they sell water, a few snacks and apparel. There is a port-a-potty at the entrance as well. They provide walking sticks which are helpful so you do not have to keep your eyes glued to the ground while walking. I also did the sound bath on a separate occasion which I would highly recommend. There were 7 of us and they lay out yoga mats with blankets for you to get comfortable. The meditation and sound vibrations along with the sounds of the forest were very relaxing.

Lovely cloud forest experience - Brie was very knowledgeable as well as passionate about the protected forest. She shared the history and vision of their company. I loved the walk and talk!

Educational and peaceful - Bre gave us an amazing tour of the cloud forest! It was educational but also a peaceful mindfulness experience. I felt very calm and renewed at the end.

Quiet, Informative, Invigorating Walk - What's not to like? The forest walk and the kind, well-informed guide taught us so much about the ecology and history of the forest. We were enthralled by the amazing vegetation and the stories behind so many of the plants. Footing on the trail was uneven and required walking sticks (supplied) and the clouds provided a bit of sweet-scented rain. We stopped frequently as we went, to hear our guide's stories and descriptions. There's a tiny hut with some souvenirs and some snacks at the entrance.

It was educational, interesting and made us realize the importance of maintains this amazing forest. - We loved the tour of The Kona Forest with Taryn as our guide. She was very enthusiastic and we learned so much about the importance of the forest to Hawaii and we learned a lot about the plants and trees and we got to see several species of birds. She encouraged us to touch all the plants to feel the many textures offered in this ecosystem.

Love our cloud forest tour & sound bath - We absolutely loved our peaceful walk through the cloud forest. Dom was our guide and he was so knowledge and personable. We then walked over to the pavilion for the sound bath. Very intense but wonderful. Beauty everywhere. Afterwards we spent a few hours in Holualoa. Just another perfect day on the Big Island!

A hidden gem not to be missed - The experience is one of exceptional beauty! The moment you walk into the forest it feels as if the stress of life melts away. The knowledge of our guide Don was outstanding. I only wish I had taken notes. This is a place of beauty and treasures. The experience was eye opening to another part of the Big Island.

Great learning and conversation - Great explanation of the history of the sanctuary and telling and showing us the details of the forest. Afterwards the guide recommended a great lunch spot and another adventure to have in the Kona area.
