Awesome Company!! - My 20 & 15 year old kids took the lesson. Brady was Awesome and extremely patient. There were only 2 instructors for 4 people, so they got a very personalized lesson. Communication was great. I received a text the night before with a location and time change. I would highly recommend Ohana Surf Lessons!!

Stoke is real! - My four year old son has officially caught the stoke!!! He’s always been a water baby but I was nervous of course about his first time actually surfing. Surf instructor Bradley Beckett took my son out riding tandem and after just one wave caught my son was already begging to have his own board he was so excited! Bradley kept him safe and ecstatic the entire lesson and I was there watching and cheering them on, so proud! This is an experience that both I and my son will cherish for a lifetime and i can guarantee that we will be back! First thing he asked waking up this morning was if he could go surfing again today. Like I said, he’s caught the stoke! Infinite mahalos and ohana surf lessons, owner Kaleo and instructor Bradley for the experience of a lifetime . So grateful.

Fun for the family - We had such a fun time! My husband and I took our 9-year-old, and the instructors made sure someone was with her the entire time. The rest of the group of teens and adults had 3 other instructors to help us all out and catch waves. They were great at explaining what to do and how to adjust our bodies.

Great surf lesson! - My husband and I took surf lessons with our 9-year-old daughter to celebrate our wedding anniversary and had an amazing time! The guides made sure one of them was always with our daughter and the rest of the adults in our group were able to work with three other guides who helped us all catch waves. They were attentive, friendly, and really great at explaining what I needed to adjust in order to stand up on the board. I highly recommend booking with Ohana Surf Lessons.

Add this to your to-do-list ;-) - We just had our first surf lesson with Bradley and Carl tonight, and it was an epic way to make memories as a family of five. The instructors were super chill and made surfing feel totally accessible. We spent most of our time in the water, catching easy waves, building our skills, and even pulling off some sweet pop-ups for the more experienced among us. The best part? Dolphins joined in, jumping around in the background (no worries, it was completely safe). Thanks, guys, for the awesome session! If you ever make it to France, definitely hit up Biarritz, Hossegor, and the whole Atlantic coast. You’ll find an amazing surf crew there 🤙

Surf for beginners - We had a great time. Bradley our guide was great. So much fun. Kids will definitely sleep well tonight. The sea was calm, but that was good for our first time surfing. We even saw turtles upon our return!!!

Awesome experience!!! - So much fun! The instructors are great! The shirts/shoes were nice, and the foam surfboards were easy to maneuver. I would highly suggest an instructor for every two people surfing, if not an instructor for each surfer, unless you like breaks between each run. The surfing spot was beautiful to observe while we waited for our turn to surf. I loved that they had a photographer taking pictures too. The photos are $15 per image.

Lemonade out of lemons (location, location, location) - The Kona area of the Big Island isn’t known for its surf, but we found Max to be an adequate instructor for our teen girls’ first foray into surfing. The swells were few and far between, and they had to paddle out pretty far into Kahalu’u Bay to find even that. So far we were unable to get good pictures from the shore.
