Unforgettable! Bring a long towel tho. - Pro tip: bring a towel or you will tremble for like 20 minutes like me. crews are amazing, professional, entertaining, super experienced, highly organized. They anticipate what might happen and give instructions beforehand. I kinda wish they prepared a couple of towels for sale just in case some less seasoned travelers didn’t think it all the way through. Manta rays are big huggers, they swim right onto your face (gently). We saw like 5-8 of them, and they keep swimming around they don’t leave. We saw the famous manta ray Lefty. Lovely creatures. People are right this is one of the top 10 things you got to do in your life.

Magical. Beware of sea sickness. - This was a magical experiences. Taking off a star because folks on our boat including me got very seasick. We were talking about how we usually don't experience sea sickness so it was odd that the trip back was so bad.

Great experience! - I was nervous about this excursion but it was overall a great experience. The crew of Ula, Danny and Vince did a great job, especially helping people in the water who had questions or needed help with their snorkel equipment etc. The snorkel equipment was first rate, by the way. Clean and good quality. The neoprene wetsuit tops helped the water temp feel more comfortable. Pool noodles made floating easy. The mantas showed up immediately and began rolling and and flying right below us. They get VERY close to you so be prepared for that. I even got bumped by them twice. We had 11 mantas and 4 or 5 of them were enormous. What majestic and beautiful creatures! My only negative comment is there was a lot of swell. We had several people getting sick of the back of the boat. I don’t get seasick so I was fine, but the swell did make getting on and off the boat very challenging. There is just a small ladder with narrow rungs, and trying to climb that with the boat rolling all over the place was not fun. However, none of that was the crews fault, it’s just Mother Nature doing her thing! I highly recommend this tour, just make sure you’re prepared for it.

Not great! - Anything that goes wrong is excused away by either weather or nature? I understand certain risks and conditions but when they spend 30 minutes looking for an anchor to tie the boat up combined with unsympathetic attitude about the terrible conditions, it made for a bad experience.

Disappointing and unnerving - The crew could not figure out how to moor the boat. The boat is supposed to be anchored and then tethered float boards with lights are deployed behind the boat for people to hang on to while the Mantras swim around the boards. After driving around for well over an hour trying to find a mooring anchor, the captain was unsuccessful and deployed the tour group and 2 crew members holding the boards into the water. We were out in the water without being tethered to the boat with two of the crew trying to keep the large group of people in the area to view the mantas. During this time the captain drove the boat around us. This was unnerving to have active motors around us while we floated near the boat. Time in the water was minimal due to risk. The crew could not keep the boards and people in the correct area. Some people in the group had a Manta swim under them, but not everyone was able to see it for the few seconds it appeared near us. Another boat was moored in the area, and Mantas could be observed around that boat from a different company while our boat drove aimlessly around looking for a mooring anchor. The trip was stressful due to safety reasons and mostly spent on the boat.
