Thank you Manta Ray Snorkel for a magical experience! - Originally we went in July 2023 and the crew was great, but no rays showed up. They told us to let them know if we come back and we could go again, no charge because they want us to have a great experience. They were good to their word and happily took us out again. This time we saw over a dozen rays! They came close enough to rub up against us. It was an amazing bucket list experience! I have, and will continue to recommend them. Please don’t forget to tip the crew, they work extremely hard and truly do care.

#1 Manta Snorkeling experience - Captain Bill is the Best! Chad and Kate were great crew hands. The manta ray experience was out of this world! Highly recommend this trip; a little more $ but longer in the water.

So wonderful! - This excursion was one of the most awesome things I've ever done! It is not to be missed. I think this company, Manta Adventures, was the best choice I could have made, for many reasons. I was looking for a company that would even allow me to participate, as I am not a skilled swimmer. Most companies will not allow that. Manta Adventures was very good at providing me with a floatation device and making sure I got to my spot on the board safely. I wasn't nervous at all. That's the thing - they are all about safety, both for the participants and for the mantas. A couple of previous reviews stated the captain was not friendly enough. Well yes, he was stern and emphatic about following the rules, but I believe he had to be, to make sure we all were safe and the mantas were not harmed. He and his crew were great - very fun to spend the evening with! I also believe this company has the best boat out there, and the best lights on their boards. All of that makes a big difference! I loved that we got a warm rinse off after the snorkel, and the homemade cookies were so good! Our tour left the harbor earlier than any other boats, which meant our captain could get a prime location (there are many, many boats out there each night). This meant we had a little time to snorkel before we went out to see the manta rays. Manta Adventures only does one trip a night, so you get a longer trip, unhurried, and very organized. There were about 22 people on our boat, and there was plenty of room. I know there are less expensive options out there, but there are definite advantages to this company and they are well worth their fee. I highly recommend them!

Henry Mahem - What an Epic event!!! No person should ever die without experiencing this surreal event. Some of the most beautiful creatures in the world were practically snuggling with me and the beautiful Hawaiian waters. Captain Billy is Cool, com, and in control, and both say 100% survival rate and not all companies can say that. The deckhands were very kind, helpful, and charismatic. If you leave the island of Kona without experiencing Captain Billy‘s manta tour, then you seriously dropped the ball.

Awesome--you will get cold! - The best part about this tour in particular is that the captain gets there early and is right there when you are in the water with the mantas. This is essential if you need to get out of the water for any reason. What no one says in any of the reviews is how cold you get just laying there. My very tiny 11 year old had to get out half way through. She was so cold she couldn't zip up her fleece. The captain and crew were amazing about letting her out early. Bring warm clothes for when you get out of the water. Also, Chad (crew) is fabulous--full of energy and information!
