Great Experience - Zack, was very informational about a lot of the Hawaiian Heritage which was very great to know. The altitude sickness is real but Zach was quick to administer oxygen to my wife. Sunset was fabulous.

The guide was extremely... - The guide was extremely informative. The 30 minutes needed to adapt to the lower oxygen level was adequate and once at the top, the sites were astounding.

Amazing - Our tour was absolutely breathtaking—honestly, words can’t do it justice. Mitch, our guide, was beyond phenomenal, bringing the entire experience to life with his knowledge and passion. The views were surreal, especially when the night sky lit up with stars that looked almost too perfect to be real. It felt like we’d stepped into a dream. If you ever get the chance, this is the kind of tour that’ll leave you in awe. We were blown away!

Summit and Stargazing - Being able to see the Milky Way from horizon to horizon and watching shooting stars was the highlight for us. Our guide, Mitch, was knowledgeable and entertaining. He was helpful and responsible to the needs of everyone on the tour. Be prepared for a long evening. The experience takes about 7-8 hours start to finish. Bring food and water and dress for 30-40 degree weather.

Amazing views and stars - Beautiful trip to the summit and the telescopes. We got a gorgeous sunset at the top, and then went to another spot for stargazing. A little cloudy at first, but we ended up being able to see the entire Milky Way, so beautiful! Would recommend.

Profound connection - Unpolluted views of the Milky Way. The sun setting under clouds beneath you. Freezing temperatures on a tropical island. Plus snacks! Rob and Jess were both educational and playful as they brought us the stars and introduced us to the Hawaiian gods. Don’t waste time driving up unfamiliar touraine and back yourself. There’s plenty to get wrong and soooo much you’d miss out on.

Great adventure! Guide, Mitch, great blend of entertainment and education. A definite tip-worthy presentation. - This info is intended as suggestions and not part of a review per-say. Overall great! Stargazing somewhat chaotic. Acknowledge blocked ears and altitude legs [exacerbated by age for some including night-blindness] with microphones [at least walkies-talkies] for the guides and safe-footing path marked by cheap light-up necklaces. Pass other light-ups out to one bus-worth so guides can help all get both telescope [we missed one] and time-lapse experience [10 people are easier to keep track of than 20]. Pass out a card of photo-position possibilities on the busses. A pre-choice will help the photographer. This info is intended as suggestions and not part of a review per-say.

A night to remember! - From pick up to drop off we were in good hands. Winding up Mauna Kea and seeing the clouds below us, listening to our driver explain details of the history and geology of the mountain, seeing the telescopes with the setting sun behind…just set the scene for an amazing night sky filled with more stars than I have ever seen. Our guides found nebulas on their portable telescopes for us to view and pointed out constellations while we stayed warm in the provided coats. A night to remember !

Good night, a lot to see. - The sunset was beautiful. The stop for the star gazing was a little too long, some people (at least 6-8) were going back to the van early.
