Great experience!!! - Captain Koichiro and Cameron gave my family an experience we will never forget! Aside from seeing tons of Mantas, they were professional, kind and completely thorough. We had three kids and a nervous mom and they were very helpful. I can’t recommend them enough!!!! If there were more than 5 stars I would give it.

Manta Ray Must Do Tour - This is an absolute must do experience and with Aloha Kona Tours. With this company you have a private tour guide that can take you around in the water and go where the manta ray are located instead of just hoping they will come to you. It was simply amazing.

Must see at Hawaii - Great crew and care for us. We got a great experience with and incredible sunset and really close mantas around us when snorkeling. Boat was pretty good and convenient, bath too small but worked.

Best Manta Trip by Far! - Fabulous tour with terrific captain and guide. I would highly recommend this if you have a small group--which made this private tour the same price as going with a bigger company. We had a beautiful sunset tour and the captain took pictures of us that he sent to us later, and also took pictures with our camera (no extra fee like in some other tours we've done). They provided some nice snacks and drinks and gave us a lot of information about the mantas and the symbiotic relationship between the tour operators and the around 300 mantas in the area. This small tour gave us a terrific view of the mantas coming right up to eat next to our lights--even coming up close to almost touch us! We had a fabulous view of them for a good 30 minutes (which was the perfect amount of time). Other groups wanted to join ours, our view was so good. Then we were able to quickly get up and off in a fun high speed boat trip back. Some large groups had a long wait. This small group experience is definitely worth the price and would be what I'd choose to do again. Highly recommended! Terrific guide and captain too!

Book this Amazing Tour! - Fabulous experience! Book with this private tour if you can. We had a group of 6 family and so it was the same price for this priva te tour as it would be for a group one and it was absolutely the best choice. Our boat captain took us out for a beautiful sunset view and took pictures for us (no extra charge like with some other tours we have taken). He sent us ones he had taken of us afterwards and was happy to take pictures with our camera also. He has a fast boat which was a fun ride out to the area. It was easy to find the location and we were greeted right away. His boat was easy entrance/exit for all of us (even me--I've had recent knee surgery). We had plenty of space, they provided some nice snacks, and our guide Hunter was very interesting, engaging, and very friendly. We learned a lot about the mantas and how they now have a symbiotic relationship with the tour operators whose lights bring up the plankton they like to eat. Another thing that made this tour better than others we saw when we got there was that the maneuverability of the boat made them able to pick a spot where there were a lot of mantas. They put in the lights which were on a surfboard with handles for all of us--very easy for us to see and grab ahold of. The guide got in with us and paddled around so we were able to see the mantas easily. We were very lucky! We had a bunch of mantas come up and sweep in a circle right next to us (even briefly touching us!) so we could even seen inside their mouths and watch them eat. This went on for about 20-30 minutes. A couple of other groups even wanted to join us because our viewing was so spectacular. While no tour operator can control the mantas, I think that this captain does a terrific job of finding the best spot for this tour group. Additionally, as soon as we had all had a wonderful experience, we were able to quickly get back on board and back to our car-in a fun high-speed boat trip. I'd highly recommend this tour!

Highly recommend! - This was a wonderful experience! Captain Ko and our guide were total pros and so kind. We are not experienced boaters, and helped everyone relax. Lots of attention to detail which was so appreciated. The animals are hit or miss but we got lucky and had a beautiful encounter with nature. Highly recommend!

BEST Manta Ray Snorkel with Aloha Kona Tours :) - We had a once in a lifetime experience snorkeling with the manta rays and Aloha Kona Tours! Captain Koichiro was amazing. He has a beautiful luxury boat. Julia was our snorkel guide. She is a marine biologist and very knowledgeable. She shared lots of facts about the manta rays and other sea life. We saw tons of manta rays. They circled around us and did belly rolls. It was spectacular! Julia made sure we were in the right spot for the best viewing. Captain Koichiro served us fruit on our trip to the site and had hot cocoa waiting when we finished our snorkel! He was very respectful, knowledgeable, and a wonderful captain! He also took the time to take a photo of our family in front of the sunset which was so thoughtful. We loved our experience with Captain Koichiro and Julia!! They are the BEST!!
