With custom-made high-intensity LED light boards, we invite you into the nocturnal playground of these gentle giants. Imagine floating weightlessly as the Manta Rays glide elegantly through the darkness, inches away from your awe-struck gaze. With wingspans of up to 16 feet and weighing up to 1,600 pounds, it’s truly awe-inspiring, but safe as mantas have no teeth, stingers, or barbs. They are filter-feeders and are here strictly to gorge themselves upon microscopic plankton attracted to the lights.
Before the adventure begins, you’ll receive a safety and Manta Ray briefing, ensuring you’re prepared for this otherworldly encounter.

Join us on a fun and exciting sunset Manta Ray Tour. Voted a top 10 activity to experience in your lifetime. We will check you in at our in-water slip (G-8). Our crew will brief you on safety in the boat and in the water with the Manta Rays. Then, we will enjoy a pleasant 10-15 minute ride to one of two snorkeling destinations. Once we arrive, you will enter the water and spend 40-45 minutes with the Manta Rays, guided by our experienced swim guides. We have a very nice ladder and comfortable seats for the ride back to the harbor.

Our 31′ 2014 Ocean Craft RHIB (Rigid Hull Inflatable Boat) – “NATURE SCHOOL II”, and check-in area are located at Honokohau Harbor slip G-8. We are reached from both north and south of Kailua-Kona via Queen Kaahumanu Highway (Hwy 19). Follow the signs to the Harbor entrance.

Hawai’i Marine Life Charters - We had the pleasure of going on a nite swim with the matte rays. Captain Brian and Moana was the very best to make our adventure educational and so much fun! When in Kona, I highly recommend Hawaii Marine Life Charters.

Canadians swim with Mantas - Our trip this evening was unforgettable. The staff were extremely friendly and courteous, and gave us individual attention. We would come back for sure for another tour. The boat was very safe and see worthy swimming with the manta rays was unforgettable.

Mantaray snorkel tour - If you haven't experienced the night mantaray snorkel, it's a must do activity on the big island!! Just WOW!!! I highly recommend going with Hawaii Marine life charters!!! Capitan Brian was very helpful and professional!! 5 stars all day!

LOOK NO FURTHER, BOOK HAWAI'I MARINE LIFE CHARTERS - ABSOLUTE best company in Kona. Look no further and book your tour. I have been visiting Hawai'i for 10 years and go with different companies each year. Brian and Natsuko are hands down my favorite. I will be going with them every year. They are knowledgable, fun, and safe. I felt right at home on their boat and left feeling like they actually cared about my experience. I wasn't just a number. The best manta ray experience! - This is not the 1st time our family had enjoyed the wonders of a manta ray dive in Hawaii, but it was the best experience we have had.

5-Star Experience - We didn't actually get to go on the manta ray snorkel with Brian. My family and I had signed up with Brian, but he had some cancellations and couldn't sail that night. Instead, he arranged for us to sail on a friend's much larger boat that same night. Brian met us at the dock that night and made sure everything went smoothly. Our manta ray snorkel was awesome, although I think sailing on Brian's small boat would have been even better. Brian is a great guy. He even loaned us wetsuit tops for the rest of our vacation.

Bravo Team! - Brian & Kelly were amazing guides sharing lots of s and fun facts! We loved the fact it is a smaller group so it felt special! Hot chocolate after getting out of the water was a special treat and warmed us back up! Bravo team! Will definitely be back!

So many mantas. - It was amazing to be with the mantas. The whole time we were in the water, the manta rays were present. Captain Brian and Kelly were great. We also appreciated the size of the boat. It was an experience that will be retold for years.
