Nice day trip - Chances of seeing " active "lava flows are extremely low, but they can't control that . There is walking on uneven surfaces , so take note if you are unsteady in your feet. Nice to be picked up from hotel and not have to worry about going to a random pickup spot in a town I've never been to . Dave was an enthusiastic and great guide.

Great guide and a comprehensive tour that focused on the volcano park - This was a wonderful way to see most of the island in one day, with a specific focus on the volcano park. The guide, David, was engaging and down-to-earth without being overly talkative. He was truly one of the best guides I've had in a while.

Our group of eight thought it was GREAT! - Zane, our geologist guide, was excellent. Professional, knowledgeable and made the long tour worth every cent. He showed us all the amazing locations and backed it up with a sea of knowledge. He made the trip fun, provided snacks in a comfortable air conditioned Mercedes Sprinter van and lunch at the Rim of the volcano. Our group of eight was thoroughly impressed with this tour. Ten stars!

Fabulous and worth every penny. - Fantastic tour!! Our guide David Human was excellent with tons of Island knowledge, geological, legends, and overall cultural history. This tour is a great way to see some of the best of Hawaii Island without having to drive the long distances. The sites are spectacular.

Educational and engaging - Great way to learn about how the islands of Hawaii were formed as well as getting a chance to view Honu at a black sand beach and visit a working coffee plantation! Thanks David for guiding us!

Exhilarating - David was an excellent guide. He knows a tremendous amount about the island and the many stops we made. The tour was more exciting with Kīlauea erupting as we drove by and viewed it from several vantage points. Rainbow falls was amazing and very full sure to recent rains.

Hawaii Geo Tours, the best! - This was by far the best tour we have been on, of the many many tours we have taken all over the world The main reason it was so good was it is Hawaii (the big island) essentially paradise on earth. And the other being Zane Smith, the tour guide. Zane was fantastic. Extremely knowledgeable and experienced. Zane brought the beauty and history of the island to life. His enthusiasm for describing the volcano activity and how the island was started and where it is today made the tour so worthwhile. We highly recommend Geo Tours and Zane.

Good times - I would definitely suggest this tour to other people. My teen was really engaged and didn’t get bored. Lot packed in 10 hours.
