Last minute booking turned into a great memory! - This was a last minute activity and I'm glad I did it. Patricia and Micah were great guides, very friendly and knowledgeable about the history of the area, the types of plants terrains etc. It was an easy, relaxing ride with some beautiful animals who have lived there all their lives. Great ride for riders of all experience levels. Show up early and you'll even meet some farm cats and hogs. Highly recommended!

Beginner-Friendly Trail Ride with Stunning Hawaiian Views - Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Beautiful area. Easy ride which is beginner friendly. If you are looking let lose and show off your horseback skills this isn’t the thing for you. But if are looking to enjoy the beauty of Hawaii from a saddle then this trail ride is a must.

Great place to RIde - The Waipio valley is closed now so we rode through the WOH Ranch. The horses were wonderful. The views great. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the ranch and its fruits and trees. We saw the wild horses and they were beautiful. The horses used for the ride come from the wild stock. When they are old enough they are brought in to be trained humanely. When they show signs of not being able to work they are retired back to the wild.

Unique leisurely trail ride for all ability levels, with impressive scenery and wild horse encounters along the way. - Our group ranged from first-timers to seasoned riders, with a few of us in-betweeners. The horses who took us on this leisurely scenic trail ride were well-trained and responsive, and our two guides made sure everyone felt comfortable and confident in the saddle. Our guides were outgoing and knowledgeable about the area, its history, and all the plants and trees on the 500-ish acre ranch we rode through. The views were incredible, the topography ranging from rolling hills with views of the ocean, to wooded paths through dense stands of eucalyptus trees, to mature fruit orchards, to small fish ponds and streams. My personal favorite: the herd of wild horses, and the few wandering cows and pigs we met along the way. Riders of all ability levels will enjoy this unique way of exploring the island.

Must do if you love horses and nature. Most Awesome! - We had the most wonderful time. The horses were gentle and the tour guides were great. You don’t actually go to the ocean, but the view is incredible and all the beauty ofvthe land is breathtaking. We saw wild horses, cows and crazy black sheep and lots of beautiful landscape. It’s about an hr and 1/2 from Kona and the drive is very scenic inboth directions. If you love horses and feeling peaceful in nature, this is a must on your list of things to enjoy on the big island. wear sunscreen.

Great experience but check directions - Excellent riding experience with great views. Guides were excellent and horses as well. Directions are challenging. Go ~15 miles east of Waimea on Hwy 19 to about mile marker 45 and turn north into Honoka’a. Go into town to Route 240 and turn west. Then go to mile marker 7 for ranch entrance. Once you’re there, it’s an easy worthwhile trip.

Don't bother - I found out after 30 minutes on the Trail that we were not going to the beach. The road has been closed for some time and they haven't been able to get to the beach. If I would have been told ahead of time, I would have canceled. I'm in Hawaii!! I want to see the beach!!!
