Amazing Experience with a Fantastic Tour Guide! - Kris was a fantastic tour guide, he was very patient with me as I had never done canyoning before and I was a little apprehensive. He was informative, friendly and an absolute joy to spend the day with. This canyoning itself was great even for a first timer with terrible balance skills. It was an incredibly fun day and I'd highly recommend it to anyone.

Great family adventure - Our family had a great time on our first canyoning experience. We splurged for this activity and it was worth it. Mark, our guide, was friendly, fun, knowledgeable, and kept us all safe. My teenage son actually smiled for the first time our entire vacation and had a blast. We were so lucky to have a warm summer day which made getting in the cold cold waters refreshing. We were literally in the middle of nowhere and had the canyons to ourselves. The drive out to the canyon is a bumpy one and the initial hike up is a good elevation climb. Wear good hiking shoes and be prepared to be wet head to toe all day. At times, it was challenging, but we felt like bad a$$es at the end of the day.

Favorite part of our trip!!! - Had an awesome time with our guide Mark! It was a blast and such a relief to get away from the crowds and be somewhere off the beaten path and super beautiful. Just sign up, you won't regret it. Especially on a hot day, it doesn't get much better than water slides, jumping into pools, and rappelling down a waterfall.

LOVED it! - Had such a great day. Steep hike to start off but then the fun begins! Several rappels, jumps and rock water slides. Got to do more than I had anticipated. Such a beautiful spot.

Amazing day and highlight of our trip!! - An amazing day that we will never forget. We probably were in a little over our heads signing up for the intermediate class but Marc was a great guide that helped us when we were struggling a bit. It’s a small group so there is a lot of individual attention and there was never a feeling we were being rushed. I’ve been on a number of “ adventure” tours and sometimes they feel too corporate. This tour felt like your friend was taking you out for the most thrilling day possible. Thanks again.

Yahoo! The wait is WORTH IT - What a fabulous way to spend the day! I bought this adventure as a gift for my dad and it was awesome. I booked directly thru Marc and he was wonderful and incredibly accommodating. When I booked I did so via email. I got an initial reply clearly stating they were very busy and would reply to my email as soon as possible. I heard back quicker than expected. The wait is WORTH IT! Bow Valley Canyoning and Marc provided a wonderful experience that will be remembered for years to come. Good trail runners or light hikers are listed as appropriate footwear for this trip. DO wear this type of footwear. The initial hike, though short, is steep and loose and was found to be a bit tricky for those not wearing this type of shoe. They did it but….The canyon is also very slippery in sections. We were taught to remember that “brown takes you down” (brown algae growing on the rocks is slippery and may cause you to fall if not being mindful). As such shoes that have good traction when wet are ideal. I suggest taking and having a snack in your dry change of clothes bag waiting in the car for your return. You won’t need it on the trail (too busy splashing and sliding) but after all the laughter, splashing and pulling yourself out of pools, and repelling, a snack hits the spot back at the van. Lastly, Marc has a fun adventure playlist that keeps you guessing what will be played next on the drive in and out. All in all a great time - the best gift to give to someone or to yourself - time together and an adventure in a beautiful location. Book it!!!! I would be shocked it you didn’t enjoy yourself! Life Threatening and Dangerous - Dangerous and awful experience. We were booked onto the Ghost Canyon full day tour today. Marc Niehaus, the owner and our guide flipped the tour vehicle on route to the start location. Marc started the day by being late and clearly very distracted… driving whilst on his phone etc when upon turning onto the track to get to the start location began driving on the wrong side of the road and after about 1km flipped the vehicle. There were 6 of us on the tour all involved in the incident in which was caused by Marcs total disregard for his groups safety. Marc drove so close to the roads edge (on the wrong side of the road) that the vehicle toppled and rolled off the road with us onboard. Fire, EMS and RCMP responded to the single vehicle incident after a tour member called 911 (Marc didn't bother to contact authorities… just his mates to get his vehicle recovered). Marcs total disregard and care for our safety after paying for what was meant to be a great day was disgusting and as the companies owner was an absolute shambles… Marc could not even get us a lift out of the area, we had to get friends to pick us up otherwise we would have been stranded. This whole experience was very avoidable and could have ended with serious injury or worse due to Marcs inability to take basic measures of care. He couldn't even drive the vehicle to the location, who knows what would have happened when actually canyoning.
