- Waiparous Valley Road - From Banff/Canmore, we head east and then north through the scenic foothills and rolling pastures along Highway 40, passing through the picturesque Waiparous before venturing into the remote Ghost Valley via the Ghost access road.
- Black Rock Mountain - Upon entering the remote Ghost Valley, we pause to take in the breathtaking views from the so-called “Big Hill.” We then descend into the North Ghost River Valley, surrounded by towering rock walls and mountain peaks. Here, we can enjoy sightseeing and possibly a short hike at the visually stunning Black Rock Mountain.
- Ghost River - Our journey continues up the North Ghost River Valley by 4x4 until we reach the Valley of the Birds. Here, we are rewarded with spectacular views of Spectral Peak as we stop for lunch and take a short sightseeing walk to a hidden waterfall.
- Devils Head - From the North Ghost, we return and explore the South Ghost by 4x4 trail, passing along Orient Point. The views of Devils Head Mountain are abundant. We explore up to the Devils Gap and the edge of Banff National Park.
- Lake Minnewanka - We will explore the back end of Lake Minnewanka and the Devils Gap. From here, we return via the 4x4 trail back up the “Big Hill” and head back along the Ghost access road to Waiparous and Highway 40, returning to Banff and Canmore by late afternoon or early evening.

Experience a world of remote mountain peeks, pristine river crossings, and spectacular valleys on our full day 4 x 4 Jeep safari adventure. Escape the crowds, go off the beaten path, and experience a remote wilderness setting. We explore the virtually unknown back end of Banff National Park. Your professional driver/guide will show you the remote Ghost Valley, set to a visually wild mountain backdrop. You will experience breathtaking views, picturesque stops, hidden waterfalls, the chance to undertake short walks and or a hike as well as wildlife viewing, (including bears, bighorn sheep and elk). Lunch is included in this full day adventure.
We run both summer & Winter. Winter snow and ice both add to the visual spectacular nature of the ghost as well as the adventure. For winter departures be prepared to potentially assist your guide with shovelling thru snow drifts
