Amazing tour with an amazing guide! - This was our first excursion in Costa Rica and it did not disappoint, Verny was an amazing tour guide who ensured we felt safe, comfortable, and overall satisfied with our trip. Verny was very knowledgeable and patient with us and spotted a ton of amazing animals. He was a phenomenonal photographer and an even better helper with making sure we were prepared for the day. We highly recommended this excursion with Verny!

This is THE ONLY Tour Guide Comp. to use!!! - This was THE BEST tour and Vernie was THE BEST tour guide ever! We had such an amazing experience; our tour guide, Vernie, was knowledgeable and could find creatures in the most amazing of places. Other tour guides were rushing there groups past to get to the waterfall and Vernie let us take our time, he pointed out amazing wildlife no one else found! We saw sloths and snakes and frogs and toucans; so much amazing wildlife. This company puts great emphasis on the person’s experience and it really showed. It was our favorite adventure while in Costa Rica. Next time we will book all our adventures with Vernie!

1000/10 stars! - We booked the Rain Forest Hike: Rio Celeste Waterfall, Sloth & Butterfly Farm excursion through On The Road Costa Rica before going to Costa Rica due to the amazing reviews we saw online along with the fact that the tour included a lot of the things we wanted to do/see. We must say, the reviews were right!! Before the tour, Anthony, the owner, was very communicative and helpful. The tour started by picking us up at the Westin Reserva Conchal. This tour was wonderful and our tour guide, Verny was phenomenal. Honestly, Verny MADE the tour. His knowledge of Costa Rican history, culture, and wildlife was so educational. He took his time through the tours so we never felt rushed or pressured. His eye for spotting the smallest creatures in the rainforest was incredible- we wouldn’t have seen anything without him. He also had no problem stopping on the side of the road to see wildlife and point it out to us. The lunch spot her took us to was delicioso, large portions and very flavorful! The sloth sanctuary was wonderful as well, Anya, our tour guide showed us several sloths, one that was eye level, frogs, toucans, and snakes. Overall, the tour was very memorable. We would definitely do another tour through On the Road Costa Rica again.

Worth every penny - Thank you Verny and On the Road Costa Rica for the most amazing tour of the rainforest, waterfall, sloths, butterflies, and “tipicál” Costa Rican meal. I felt safe and cared for which is so important to a single mama traveling with teens. We enjoyed all the sights and sounds and flavors. I was in awe of our guide’s knowledge, passion, and respect for our time and priorities. Should the Universe allow us the honor of Verny’s guidance with On the Road Costa Rica we would feel so blessed to be a member of your família once again! ❤️💙🇨🇷🇺🇸

Great day in Rio Celeste with Verny - Verny may have been the best tour guide we’ve ever had. We booked for Rio Celeste hike and rafting, and on the way there he asked us what our interests were. When we said seeing wildlife he adjusted the day by taking a lot more time on the hike to find all kinds of cool animals and also took us to a reserve on the way back. He was very knowledgeable and prepared, including a spotting scope and reference materials on birds, reptiles and animals. He frequently checked in on how we were doing and if we wanted a snack or drink. He was enthusiastic throughout the day which went longer due to the extra time he spent so we’d see more animals. A great day!

A must see in Costa Rica - Excellent stop. Excellent buffet lunch. The butterflies and monkeys and sloths were fun to see. Great transportation from bottom of waterfalls so didn’t have to climb back up all those steps.

Wonderful time exploring the area. A less touristy trip. - We were signed up for the Rio Celeste tour. But we changed to the Miravalles Volcano tour instead. Alberto was our guide. We had a great time! Alberto was very knowledgeable about the animals and trees of the region. Pointed out toads, bats and birds we would have never seen. The hanging bridges in the rain forest were my favorite part. The scenery all around was just amazing! A little high for sure! But the view was outstanding! Alberto volunteered to take photos and videos for us. We also had a lot of fun at the waterfall. It was so relaxing , a beautiful site first thing in the morning. At the end of the day we went to the hot springs at the bottom of the volcano. That was my son’s favorite part. I will definitely be using On the Road Costa Rica for my tours next year and requesting Alberto as our guide! Thank you for the memorable tours!

Great time in beautiful Costa Rica! - I’m very glad that we decided to go on this tour. Hernan guided us to the Rio Celeste waterfall while discussing Costa Rica and the natural beauty we were seeing. He managed to spot and point out a few birds along the way as well. The sloth tour was very fun, and the hosts of that facility were also very friendly. Lunch was delicious and the drives were smooth going to and returning. Book through this tour and you’ll have no regrets.

Worth the drive - The nature walk and stairs to the waterfall was very good. The sloth farm was very interesting, some sloths were quite high but we were fortunate enough to havew a young very low to the ground and were able to get great pictures. As well the monkies were very fun to watch and they did get close enough for great pictures too,
