Great day! - Don’t hesitate to book this tour! It’s a long day but worth it. Verny was great - very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. He took hundreds of pictures of wildlife and family shots for us. Thought of every detail. And lunch was delicious!

Perfect day! - We had the best day with Verny, at the Rio Celeste waterfall/hike/lunch/swim/animal sanctuary. The sights were spectacular! Verny was so kind and took so many pics, shared many of his own pictures and stories with us, we enjoyed every minute! Don’t hesitate to do this tour!

Best Day Ever! - Unforgettable Rainforest Experience with the Best Guide Ever! We had the most incredible day touring the Costa Rican rainforest, and it's all thanks to our amazing guide, Verny. Truly, he may be the kindest, most thoughtful person we've ever met. From start to finish, he made us feel completely safe and cared for, and his passion for his country and his work was evident in every moment. Verny took countless stunning photos throughout the day and generously shared them with us—memories we’ll treasure forever. He thoughtfully arranged opportunities to change clothes between excursions, which made a huge difference in our comfort level. Lunch was a highlight: an authentic Costa Rican meal at a warm and welcoming family-owned restaurant that felt like a hidden gem. And to top it all off, Verny surprised us with a birthday cake he had arranged in advance—a moment we’ll never forget. If you're considering a rainforest tour, look no further. Great private tour experience. - Verny is an amazing experienced tour guide. He did everything possible to give us a great private tour. He was entertaining and educational. He took time to spot as much wildlife as possible and took lots of great photos and video to share with us.

Punctual and Friendly - The driver was waiting for us as we landed. Communication was timely and clear. I would definitely recommend them to anyone wanting a private transfer.

Waterfalls and Animals - We had an outstanding day today, April 30, 2025 with our tour guide Vernie. I would recommend this private tour to anyone. It was a highlight of our trip. We have been on tours all over the world in dozens of countries and the tour guide always makes the experience. Vernie ranks among the best there is. Outstanding communication and enthusiasm. He is a true professional, and extremely knowledgeable about all elements of our tour and Costa Rica in general. He knows pretty much everyone at every spot, but even if he didn’t, he’s so friendly he’d probably be able to get you special treatment anyways. Anyone who is lucky enough to have him as their guide will be in for a terrific time. An excellent trip!

Best birthday ever - There’s a reason this family owned tour company is priced at a premium—-the private, customized experience is above and beyond what we could’ve asked for or imagined. Verny was exceptional, fun, full of knowledge, prepared for anything, and makes you feel like your experience (and safety) is the only thing that matters in the world. We spent 13 hours with him and he was tireless , curious, and just as excited as we were ALL DAY! I chose this to celebrate my birthday, and it was a dream. You gotta do it.

Fun, educational, and memorable! - We had the best time with Verny! Verny picked us up from our hotel in Tamarindo at 6:30 AM. From the start, he was extremely enthusiastic, energetic, and knowledgeable. He arrived in a large, air conditioned, and clean SUV and had every amenity you could ask for. During the 2.5 hour drive to Rio Celeste, we were entertained and educated on Costa Rican culture, history, and geography. Upon arriving to the National Park, Verny enthusiastically greeted all of the parking attendants and park workers. he is a charmer! in the park, Verny provided us with a running commentary on the flora and fauna in the park. he spotted birds, snakes, and sloths. he also served as our paparazzi, taking tons of photos. Verny uses a high tech scope with his camera in order to get fabulous up close photos of the critters. We numerous monkeys, sloths, toucans, other birds and creatures. We even saw a young sloth walking across the trail a few feet from us. Verny was determined to find us a range of animals and everything we would want to see. We had a tradition lunch at the sloth sanctuary and after the lunch, one of the local guides, Francisco, and Verny took us through the area. Francisco’s knowledge and enthusiasm made the experience very memorable. He was just as excited as we were to see the little sloth. Verny truly had a refreshing outlook on life and his joy for his job was palpable. We really had an amazing time and we would recommend this to anyone who is interesting in having an outdoorsy, fun day. 10 out of 10. totally recommend!

AMAZING EXPERIENCE! - Verny was AMAZING! He took us on a great hike, spot to swim, authentic lunch, and we were able to see sloths up close! Our safety, attention to detail and well being was his top priority. We had plenty of water and the most amazing fruit. Verny shared so much Costa Rican history. Would definitely go again with Verny!

Stunning Sights - Hernan was our guide from On the Road, and he was fabulous! He shared his knowledge and expertise throughout the day and ensured our experience was everything we’d hoped for. Not far from our condo, we stopped at a little gem for coffee and fresh croissants to kick off the day. On the drive, we learned about the volcanos and vegetation. Our hike to the most beautiful waterfall included stops to see monkeys, birds, snakes including an eyelash pit viper and more. At the next stop, we saw sloths, and the people there were the sweetest. Hernan took us to a lovely lunch spot and got us safely home. On the Road was responsive and easy to work with, and Hernan was wonderful!!
