Awesome tour with Verny - This trip to Rio Celeste waterfall and rain forest hike was amazing and full of adventure in a rain. Nothing could stop us from having fun and enjoying beautiful nature of rain forest. Our guide Verny from On the Road Costa Rica was fantastic. He was very knowledgeable about rain forests and it’s habitat. We have learned a lot about this beautiful Costa Rica and it’s history. We loved every minute of this trip. Verny made this trip so special so we would highly recommend this tour with Verny. Verny you are the best! Muchas gracias and pura vida!

Rio Celeste Water Fall and Buena Vista park - We can’t say enough about how qualified and excellent our tour guide was. Verny was amazing. He was very knowledgeable and was so kind. We were fortunate enough to have him guide us on two tours. When we return to Costa Rica-on the road will be the only company we use! Verny is a friend for life!

Wonderful experience with many flora and fauna - Verny was the most outstanding and dedicated tour guide. He treated us like family and made our experience full of so many exciting memories. Verny is very hospitable, and very knowledgeable about his country and all of its fauna and flora. He made sure we got to see everything that mother nature in Costa Rica offered, even stopping by the road so we could see some toucans up close.
I loved that Verny made sure we were all safe and could walk the trails at our own pace, even stopping to see some animals. He let us stop for a cup of coffee as our adventure started very early in the morning. We saw many toucans, eyelash vipers, sloths, and red eyed tree frogs on our journey.
Lunch was delicious as well, and even despite the sudden downpour of rain, we were able to see lots of animals.
Seeing all the wildlife was a dream come true for our family. We are so happy with our experience being apart of the family with On the Road Costa Rica for a day and we would definitely book with them again or tell our friends.

Phenomenal day in Costa Rica - Verny was a phenomenal driver and guide! Our experience was enriched because of his rich knowledge that he shared, his passion about his country and job, and concern for our enjoyment. Verny went out of his way to make sure we saw sloths up close, toucan, snakes, and frogs! He showed us how to spot things in the forest. He was concerned for our safety and wellbeing. Highly recommend this your and especially this guide!!!

MUST do! - I can not say enough about this tour! Verny made sure that even on the drive to Rio Celeste we stopped to see animals. We even saved a sloth that was down on the ground, we had never been so close to a sloth.
I traveled with my parents and was nervous about the hiking but he was extremely patient, had a walking stick for my mom and ensured we enjoyed every second. The waterfall does not disappoint, the crystal blue waters are worth all the steps!
I appreciated Vernny’s clear love for his country and the environment. He ensured we found many animals for photos while also being respectful. His warm demeanor and willingness to educate really make the tour a one in a million experience!

A hike to remember! - We had the pleasure of exploring the Rio Celeste area with Verny.
He was not only extremely knowledgeable about the local plant and animal life, but extremely passionate about helping others learn and appreciate the rainforest. He was an absolute pleasure to spend the day with.
On top of Verny's excellent hospitality, the Rio Celeste waterfall and surrounding area make for a phenomenal hike if you want to see tropical birds, exotic insects, snakes, frogs, and if you're lucky like us, even sloths! Lunch was great as well! Unfortunately the butterfly exhibit was closed due to maintenance, but you'll see more than enough butterflies on your excursion in the wild if that's what you're really looking forward to.
We can't wait to come back and do it all again!

Fabulous experience - This experience was one of the highlight of my trip! Me and my friends had a blast! We did a tour to learn some history of Costa Rica. The staff were attentive and knowledgeable.

Amazing! - My husband and I did the Rio Celeste tour which include a hike to the waterfall, swim, sloth/birds/monkey tour which included an amazing lunch! Verny was our tour guide and he did an amazing job and made us feel like part of his family for the day! Could not recommend this company enough!
