Beautiful views and Hike - Overall, a great experience. The hike down was very nice and calm. The hike up was about 30 minutes and steep uphill. Keep that in mind when booking the trip. Very Panoramic views and absolutely gorgeous hike. The tour guide Eduardo did a great job explaining things in English and Spanish. I’d recommend taking snacks or food with you since most of the stops will be for photos and history. Water and drinks are typically available for purchase at most stopping areas. I’d definitely do this trip again.

Jewels of the Basque country - Lovely trip out. Be prepared for lots of steep walking in Gaztelugatxe so wear comfortable shoes. At the top we were lucky to catch the church being opened for around an hour and the views at the are breathtaking. Mundaka (try their local cider!) and Gernika involved less walking they were nice and relaxing stops. Unfortunately for us the weather was poor, torrential rain but there were plenty of ponchos and umbrellas on sale at various spots. Our bilingual guide Josè was very knowledgeable & informative, he did a very good job. Definitely recommend.

Great San Juan de Gaztelugatxe and Guernica tour! - This was a great experience, especially the San Juan de Gaztelugatxe walk was awesome! The only negative thing was that a couple was late from the walk to a bus and thus we were a bit late from the next stops. Our guide Pilar was great!

Large groups, big... - Large groups, big comfortable bus takes you to places you might not go to. Lots of walking up and down trails and stairs to beautiful church on top of an island.

Recommend with a caveat - Firstly, the tour guide, Jose, was excellent and not just for the tour. He gave everyone his number to call him if they needed any advice or recommendations during their stay. His knowledge of the areas visited was excellent and he could not have been more helpful. Unfortunately, the description of the trip when you book is less helpful. This trip is physically, very demanding. Gaztelugatxe (in the picture) is inaccessible if you are not very fit and fully mobile. I had to miss the steep, hundreds of stone steps, walk up to the top to see the Game of Thrones building in the picture (which you can only walk around, not go in to as it is only opened for special occasions) . This was because the walk to the bottom of the steps to start was very steep and I would not have made it back up the incline if I'd done the steps up and down to the building too (and I consider myself to be fairly fit). At times it felt like endurance rather than enjoyment. Gernika and Mundaka are both very interesting with their history and views. I am glad I did this trip and would highly recommend it with the caveat about fitness and mobility as some people missed out on the whole experience as we were not made aware of this before booking.

Not worth it - We enjoyed Gaztelugatxe, however there is no mention of how arduous the hike down to the steps is. People with balance or knee problems should bring a hiking pole. The other two places were not remotely interesting. After walking through alleyways in Mundaka we finally got to small marina and were told to grab a bite to eat at a small cafe. The guide was not there to help people order as the staff spoke no English. The menu was extremely limited as best we could tell. In Gernika we walked through nothing-no hall no market etc. Plus the guide's car broke down and taxis had to be called. Big waste of money and time. Not at all as described.
