- San Juan de Gaztelugatxe - Dragonstone. This is where Daenerys and Jon Snow meet for the first time. In reality, San Juan de Gaztelugatxe is a small hermitage atop 241 steps on the Basque coast, not a large castle.

Playa de Itzurun - When we see Daenerys stepping onto her true home for the first time, she is actually stepping onto a 60-million-year-old beach. Zumaia’s Flysch dates from the mid-cretaceous period to the present, spanning over 100 million years.
