Must see pre-historic site - Fantastic must see pre-historic sites. Ghar Dalam cave very interesting. Hagar Qim and Mnajdra temples were hugely impressive. Guide very informative.

Wonderful structures from the mystery temples era of Malta - In south west Malta the huge temple structures remain of that mystery era in its history thousands of years ago. Well worth a trip.

One (1) great tour guide; Three (3) amazing sites - Our guide, Mark, is a very knowledgeable young man. He brought us to 3 amazing ancient sites, explained their significance and then let us explore in our own. Well organized and delivered. Highly recommend this half day tour. PS Thank you to Mark and the bus driver who was able to maneuver the windy streets of Malta.

An amazing glimpse of Malta's prehistory. - First, Ghar Dalam (Cave of Darkness) with animal bones from 10,0000 years ago both mounted in display cases and still in the ground, and with evidence , at a later level, of the earliest human settlers from c. 5,000BC. Fascinating backgound theory as to the huge changes in the level of the Mediterranean Sea and its resulting coastline caused by climate change from before and during the last ice age. Then, the 5,500 year old monolithic temples of Hagar Qim (Monolithic Devotion) and Manajdra (Calendar) just two of the many on the islands predating the Pyramids of Giza and Stonehenge. Mark was an excellent and knowledgeable guide pacing the tour well and providing just the right amount of informatrion and insight (with more on offer if required). Pickup and drop off were from and to various hotels around the island (including ours in Qawra to the north), but we found it convenient to be dropped off at Valletta on our way back from the morning's tour to spend the afternoon in the old town (with its small National Archaeological Museum on Republic Street) as well as its many other attractions and interests (including the opportunity to take in some much more recent history in the Lascaris War Rooms).

Temples and caves - Very interesting. There’s a lot of walking and steps, which didn’t bother me; but some may find it difficult. Tour guide very knowledgeable. The down side was not enough time to wander round the ruins, due to time taken to get there. I think that it would be very hot in the Summer; as walking to the ruins is very open. Wear shoes, not sandals, the ground is a bit rough. On the whole a good trip.

This is worth seeing. A bit of extra time at the sites would have made this almost perfect - Very interesting experience. Despite the description stating that the only commentary will be on the bus, our guide did give some background and history of the cave and the temples at the relevant location. Too little time was allowed at each stop. Even an extra 10 minutes at each would have been nice as we felt rushed. Plus, with no toilet on the bus one had to trade off seeing the site for a pit stop, particularly as this was a 4-hour morning tour. Depending on where you're picked up you can spend more time on the bus than at the sites.

Pre-historic culture in Malta - Very entertaining and informative. Sites are well preserved. Our guide's storytelling was intriguing (we advise one to pay attention for the juicy details). Enjoyed very much this short glance on Malta's prehistoric civilisations's way of life, objects of worship and building style. Reccomended!

Tour was ok, organisation was poor - Temples were amazing (my 2nd visit). Organisation left a lot to be desired. Hotel staff and reps had no knowledge of trip. Coach and driver sat outside hotel for nearly half hour, (1 of 5 buses), no indication on coach or by driver of tour/whom picking up. Eventually made self known and rudely accused me of being late. Bad temper driving round on the collections. No sign of guide until last pickup point. Once tour started was very good, however, not enough allocated time to be able to include the gift shop/museum visit afterwards. Rude driver perked up when I handed him a monetary tip at the end of the trip. Like to leave them smiling.

Rushed visit - Rather rushed. Could have done without visiting The Dark Cave and spending more time @ the Temples. Would have liked more of a look around & chance to go to visitors centre. Can't say I learnt much from our guide also. Felt it was quite good value despite this but I would have preferred the trip to be longer with a lunch break.
