I have led over 15 tours in 5 cities including Birmingham and especially the 16th Street Baptist Church. Believe it or not this particular event at your church causes me to become very emotional to the point of tears at each tour. At the Afrikan Village in memphis we always remember the 4 little Girls, vigil Ware and others who experienced such a horrible day. We remember them during our time to welcome in our Ancestor, our oath to our Ancestors libations. The visit on the 24th had much more activities, lectures and gift shop items. And we purchased gifts before leaving. I’m 63 years old and I will not stop my tours until the lord say so because we are on an assignment to say thank you to our ancestors and the only way we can do that is to educate ourselves about them and always teach others about them and their contribution and many sacrifices to us and the world. The volunteers were absolutely wonderful and informed.
