5/5 stars - Cadbury world is an experience I feel that everyone should experience, nothing but positive regard. The tour and experience is fantastic offering a deep insight into the history of chocolate, and the gift shop is phenomenally staffed and priced. I was helped by Brandon Burden while I visited and he helped me to understand and find what I was looking for with ease, he was polite and friendly. Sealing my time as 5/5 stars.

Great day for a rainbow group - I feel the need to write a review after being so worried in going and it would be a let down. We took a group of 20 on Saturday part of a rainbow group. We arrived at 10:30 and had the play area to ourselves before our tour started at 11:10. The tour was great, the girls loved the new ride and the fact you get more chocolate on it. All the staff had fantastic customer service! We wished we did the shop in the morning as by the afternoon the shop was very busy with a queue. However they do limit how many can go in. We brought items you can’t get anywhere else like the mini Christmas trees, teapot and mixed bag of chocolate. We did buy the tickets through Freddo bars so didn’t pay full price. Only a 15 minute walk from the station and it was a safe walk too. We felt for £11 a ticket it was definitely worth it, we got 3 full size bar of chocolate and a bag of buttons!

Chocolate island - Great day out, all the negative reviews about parts being g closed you’re well informed of this prior to booking if you don’t like it then don’t go simple. The whole experience starts you off where the beans are found all the way through to the chocolate that you eat every day. There are many interactive parts for children with written displays too tell you everything you need too know lots of well designed displays showcasing Cadbury’s over the years. Huge play area for the kids to enjoy where there is a place that adults can chill and have a coffee or the amazing Cadbury’s hot chocolate! A number of small rides and interactive parts that are well run and efficient. Great have a go area where you get too make lots of mess with chocolate. Great show for the kids we visited during Halloween and the effort the staff put into this show is great. The shop is cheap as chips I mean where else can you get 10 fredos for £1.40 these days?! Great family day out at ‘chocolate island’ as our daughter called it😂 We will return once everything has been overhauled.

Don't rip us off in your cafè! - Overall we had a really good day. Some areas of the attraction were closed for refurbishment but we did get extra free chocolate plus vouchers for a return visit at just £5 each, when the work is finished. My only complaint is that the cafè is very overpriced, I mean seriously silly prices. We had a tea, Sprite and Capri Sun @ £9.10 Tea £2.50 Sprite £3.60 Capri Sun £3 Really???? When you've paid a lot to get into an attraction why not provide refreshments at a reasonable price, rather than rip families off. Mr Cadbury, in these times of high energy bills and increasing food shopping costs, you should be grateful that people spend their hard earned cash to visit your factory. So please, please, please don't take the p!ss in your cafè. Thank you! 😘

A fun place to visit, and excellent customer service - Visited today for my wife’s birthday. We had booked for the afternoon tea, or so I thought! We went on the correct day, but I’d booked it the wrong day! Oops. However, since it was quiet the staff sorted it all out and we had a delicious selection of sandwiches and cakes. The activities themselves were really surprisingly good, and I only say that because I didn’t know what to expect. We enjoyed the chocolate tempering and all the interactive stuff. It’s very much geared towards kids, but we enjoyed it nonetheless. One negative, that everywhere was quite cold. It was quite a cold day, but there’s quite a lot of building work going on presumably to update the whole place so perhaps the heating wasn’t on for some maintenance related reason? One of the staff members was even wearing gloves, indoors! I can’t say I blame her. The overriding positive about this place though, without question, was how friendly and helpful the staff were. Every single person we spoke to, the guys on the gate at the ‘experience’, the team in the chocolate tempering bit, the team in the 4D part, and especially the ladies who sorted out my afternoon tea mistake and Suzanne on the reception/customer services who sorted out our tickets, all of them were lovely, a credit to Cadbury World.

Decent day out - Pretty good family day out - not an amazing amount of things to do but lots of chocolate handed out as you go round! The outdoor play area is also good for the kids to burn off the chocolate!

Not what it once was - A couple of hours filled with the kids. Last went 20yrs ago and very sad to see so much of what it used to be lost. Going you’re local but not worth the trek we made ☹️

Disappointing! Most of it closed off! - I had booked this for my daughter (4) and me for half term. I was disappointed. It was my first visit and we had travelled 3 hours and stayed in a hotel for the visit. Most of the attraction was closed off for refurbishment (which hadn’t been communicated prior). We did the whole thing in less than 2 hours. We were given a voucher to come back in January for £5 however when you live far away this isn’t possible! Also, I had booked the character afternoon tea. I felt this was extremely rushed, we were out of the restaurant within 30 minutes. I felt the whole day was over priced when most of it was shut, and I wouldn’t recommend.

Don’t bother - We visited today, taking a 4hour drive to get there and paying out for a hotel for the night (tonight) just so we could attend. Soooo disappointing!!!!!!!! The couple of rides were quite good, But the rest of the ‘attractions’ were tired and dull. The interactive screens were too few so only one child could use it at any one time. The holographic theatres were too high for a child to see and too quiet to hear. The videos of the chocolate being made in the factory were very dated and again with poor sound quality. Overall opinion was that it is exceptionally over priced, quite boring and not really sure who it is aimed at as it was a mixture of old fashioned museum and attractions that would only appeal to younger children. I would pay an absolute maximum of £10 a ticket for this and certainly would not have bothered undertaking a 4hour car journey, and paying out for a hotel overnight so that we could attend. Very disappointing.

Just not good is it - It's just not good anymore is it. It's like some weird Fyre festival thing where everything's closed and the shop is in a tent outside. All the old attractions need a touch of TLC. Staff don't look bothered. Small chocolate making display in what looks like a back office? Half of it's closed, I understand there's renovations but don't give a £5 voucher off your next visit when you know people aren't going to use it. Ideally they should have just closed the attraction for a few months but why miss out on the half term money. Recommends 2 hour visit but even after taking everything in, we were done in about 40 minutes. Best bit is the history of Cadbury, a very small section and I wonder what the original founders would make of the money grabber it is now. Avoid.
