Wonderful experience - Great Park to visit with some animals, birds, squirrels... Weather is changing so fast I have been able to see many different flavors in a couple of hours ! Thank you for the great organization and the tour itself.

Beautiful national park - Beautiful hike with mountains all around. Different options (steeper or more gentle climb). I did steeper (wasn't too strenuous) and the views were amazing. I only wish it was longer!
Would be great to have some more info about the park, animals, area provided.
Guide took me to a nice restaurant afterwards with local food.

Excellent day trip! - This is a well organized day trip by a tour guide owned Kyrgyz company. The mountain views are spectacular and includes great hiking an hour away from Bishkek.

Well-organized day trip! - It’s hard to believe such beautiful hiking trails and mountain views are so close Bishkek! This is a highly recommended day trip: it was well organized and offered different trail options depending on what the group wanted. Magic Tours is a new company founded by a young, experienced guide. So if supporting small local companies is important to you, this is a great option!

My hiking experience in Ala Archa National Park, Kyrgyzstan 🇰🇬 - Let me share with you my hiking adventure in the Ala Archa National Park which I booked with KYMYZ Travel. (I know it’s little bit long narrative but try to read until the end so that you could find a clear grasp on how it is to hike there) 🤗🤗🤗
This adventure is the most draining activity I’ve done up to date (I’m not complaining actually perhaps I just turn 40 years old recently that’s why I got tired easily 😅). Hiking for approximately 4.5 hours two-way (we started our hike at 10am and arrived back at the starting point at 2:30pm) with a picture perfect views of colorful autumn (snow capped mountains, pine trees, rivers, wild berries, flowers, and much more to see) and a calm weather (not too hot and not too cold) was too awesome for me. We were 2 groups (different tour company), 2 tour guide and 4 guests total (2 guests per company) but the tour guides decided to merge the groups together.
The trail on the first part of the hike is easy but as you go higher, it gets steeper. Our tour guide had given us enough time to rest for a few minutes in between the hike especially every after steeper part of the trail. We had a full stop to see the panoramic view of the place when we reached the “broken heart” rock. It’s a nice spot to rest and take photos while enjoying the magnificent view of the Ala Archa National Park. One guest decided not to continue with the hike and one tour guide accompanied her going down at the base.
Then, we (3 remaining guests) continued the second part of the hike which is easier compared to the first part because most of the trail is flat. The trail became steeper again when we crossed the first river. We had our second stop in the place where we had a first glimpse of the waterfall. We rested for a few minutes there and drink some water to hydrate ourselves.
Then, we continue the third part of the hike.
We crossed the second river and the trail becomes very challenging as this was the steepest and the most difficult part of the hike. Another guest decided not to continue with the hike. She told that she cannot bear it anymore as the trail gets really tough. We were only 2 guests and 1 tour guide that push through the final leg of the hike. While going up, several times I requested for a quick stop just to catch my breath because it’s really tiring.
Upon reaching the top, we were greeted by the majestic view of the waterfall. The tour guide crossed the other side of the waterfall first to show us the best photo spot. As I crossed towards the other side, I stepped on a rock that has full of molds and caused me to slide and out of balance 😅. I accidentally fell on the water directly causing my pair of shoes as well as one side of my pants and shirt wet. My hoodies and jacket that I’m holding were got wet too. But the incident did not stop me from enjoying the magical view that was in front of me. I removed and hanged immediately my wet things on the big rocks to let it dry then started capturing photos of the instagrammable view of the place.
After having enough shots from our cameras, we headed back down to our starting point. When we reached the base, our tour guide showed to us the place where the squirrels always hang out and there he was (Alvin and the Chipmunks 🐿️ ) waiting for us to feed him. I hurriedly took the beans that our tour guide gave us and fed Alvin. I asked the tour guide to film me while feeding the squirrel.
Overall, the hike tour was properly organized and Nuraly, our tour guide and driver as well, had shared lots of insights to the guests regarding Ala Archa National Park. Although it’s really tiring but because of the magnificent view (colorful autumn) along the way, it helps ease and remove every leg pain that I felt. I highly recommend this exciting activity to be the top 1 must-to-do list when you visit Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. 🇰🇬

Five-star views with five-star service! - What a beautiful national park--a real jewel of Central Asia. My guide Nuraly was wonderful: great communication, kind, accommodating, very helpful. He was mindful of the limitations of some who were hiking with us, and he provided a good introduction to this national park so that I could return on my own subsequently. He also took photos and shared them with me later. Nuraly picked me up at my lodging and returned me there safely. Thank you, Nuraly!

Bad experience - I have booked tour to Ala Archa national park via getyourguide.
Guide was nice via what’s app communication. But was late for pick up, as went to other hotel, hence plans have changed. Also preferred cash payment for the tour.
