- Ala-Archa Gorge - The trip to Ala-Archa will take about 2-3 hours. During this time, we’ll introduce you to the most beautiful gorge near Bishkek and explain why it’s a favorite spot for tourists and climbers. You’ll have the freedom to explore in any direction – whether it’s to a plateau with magnificent views, along the peaceful Ala-Archa river, or towards the Broken Heart Stone, which offers breathtaking panoramic views.
On the way to the gorge, your guide will share interesting information about our country and its people, as well as some stories about adventures in these mountains. If we’re lucky, we might even spot some wild animals!
- Osh Bazaar - After returning to Bishkek from Ala-Archa, our first stop will be the famous open-air market, Osh Bazaar. It’s said that to truly experience the local culture, one should visit the local market, and Osh Bazaar is one of the best examples in Bishkek and Kyrgyzstan. Here, you can find everything from food products and spices to household goods, clothes, souvenirs, and even musical instruments. The bustling atmosphere, smells, and sounds can be overwhelming, but it’s an unforgettable experience.
- Kyrgyz State Philharmonic Hall - Our city tour continues with the charming architecture of the Mayor’s office, International University, and the Philharmonic Hall. The white marble of the Philharmonic, situated on a hill like an ancient temple, is impressive with its colorful stained glass and hammered copper.
- Kyrgyz National Opera and Ballet Theatre of Abdylas Maldybayev - The opera house in Bishkek is a landmark opposite the Fine Arts Museum. During the Soviet era, opera and ballet were considered national arts, and theaters were built in the capitals of each Soviet Republic. In Bishkek, the grand Kyrgyz Opera and Ballet Theatre presents the best performances in the country. The classical heritage is evident in the facades and rich decor throughout the theater, with picturesque paintings and facades by Kyrgyz artists that showcase the country’s rich history.
- Ala-Too Square - The main square of Bishkek, Ala-Too Square, translates to “motley mountains,” reflecting the country’s stunning mountain scenery. Located in the city center, the square features several attractions, including the State Historical Museum with about 90,000 exhibits, Oak Park with a Friendship of Peoples monument, and a 45-meter flagpole with a national flag guarded by an honor guard. Nearby is a 10-meter-high equestrian statue of Manas, the legendary Kyrgyz hero. Panfilov Park and Lenin’s monument are also within reach.
- Victory Square - Dedicated to the victory in World War II, Victory Square features three massive granite arches forming the silhouette of a yurt (Kyrgyz nomad house). In the center is a sculpture of a woman with a cup in her hands, with an eternal flame at her feet, symbolizing a soldier’s mother waiting for her family to return from the war.
- Central Mosque - The Bishkek Central Mosque is one of the largest mosques in Central Asia, built in an Ottoman revival style with four minarets, each with three balconies. Inside, the mosque can accommodate up to 6,000 people, and the courtyard can hold an additional 20,000 worshippers.
