Uncharted and unsuspected Natural Beauty, very warm people - Enter through the border pass between Kazakhstan and Kirkistan, it's a difficult crossing you must do on foot with your barrows, and they are quite unhospitable. Then I headed to Karakol, to visit the lake and mountains. All of exceptional beauty. Very nice even in January. Recommended the experience

Winter Season gives you another experience - Honestly, I thought it was not good season to visit in winter but such environment gives me awsome views. Snow mountains will refresh your mind and it makes you bring back to visit in other seasons. Thank you Faruk for your kind guide!

Organized Company with Friendly Guides - The tour was really fun and my guide, Ulan, was very personable and interesting. Ala Archa is incredible and the city tour was very comprehensive. I found the tour to be a really great value. Considering my tour was a private tour with just me and my guide, I found the tour to be very affordable.

It is a comprehensive day trip that covers the highlights of Bishkek as well as the Ala Arch National Park . The driver spoke fluent English and was very accomodating overall and enthusiastic about illustrating the highlights of the city/ bazaar as well as through the national park. Krgysztan is an interesting country overall .

Learn All the Insider Information about Bishkek on This Tour! - After working for one week in Bishkek and exploring Issyk-kul Lake with a friend, I had an extra day before returning home. Anvar was my tour guide for this one-day tour of Bishkek and Al-Archa National Park. He was extremely personable and tremendously knowledgeable. I had walked around a bit of the city during the work week and saw a bunch of monuments, but did not know much of their significance. Anvar filled in all the blanks for me. In fact, one of the many a-ha moments was when he pointed out that some of the statues we were looking at were the same people as those appearing on the paper currency. One of my favorite parts of the day was visiting the State History Museum. There was so much background information about Kyrgyz culture and events shaping that modern culture. I learned about Chinghiz Aitmatov, one of the most famous Kyrgyzstani authors (there was a lovely exhibit on him). Anvar made sure to take us outside of the museum to see the impressive changing of the guards as they marched from below the museum building to a lookout post closer to the boulevard. The best meal that I ate during my entire time visiting Kyrgyzstan was our lunch during the tour. Anvar took us to a popular restaurant in Bishkek and ordered many local dishes for us to sample. It was a feast! We made a quick visit to the Osh Bazaar where we each bought a little something from some vendors. Next, we wrapped up the day with a visit to Al-Archa National Park. It was very cold and very foggy, but well worth the visit. Anvar had bought some fresh walnuts at the bazaar before we headed to the park. He broke some walnuts into smaller pieces, told me to hold out my hand, and poured some walnuts into my palm. In just a few moments, I had some birds flying over to steal a walnut from my hand! It was amazing! Apparently if the weather wasn't so foggy, the squirrels would have joined us too. We hiked for a bit along the main path in Al-Archa, and it was delightful. There was snow on the ground, which was magical! I have so many fond memories of this trip. What a special, magical day.
