Les makes the trip - Thanks to our guide, Les, we enjoyed our day trip to the blue mountain. Despite the weather Les managed to find us some spectacular scenery. His commentary was informative and humorous all day. We enjoyed the early entry to the zoo and the ferry was a great way to return to the city. Would definitely recommend.

The Blue Mountains tour is a must! - After strolling through the Sydney zoo, we had a beautiful ride to the Blue Mountains. The cable car, sky wall and train, along with the lovely canopy walk was such a fun learning experience in the mountains. Our guide Les was wonderful! Les is an A level historian and storyteller. Lunch in a small town; a short hike to a waterfall; and a lovely ferry ride on the Sydney harbour rounded out this beautiful day!

Blue Mountains Day Tour and Parramatta River Cruise - Fantastic day out. Bruce our guide was very informative and dealt with all our stops and additional tickets quickly and efficiently giving us the maximum time to enjoy all the experiences throughout the day. Additional tickets were paid for directly to Bruce with the option to pay by card or cash. It was great to get into the Zoo before it opened to the public. Bruce also filled us in on the history of Australia and the Blue Mountains which was very interesting! Complete with amazing views of the Blue Mountains (a perfect blue sky day) it was one of the best trips we have been on.

A full and busy day…lots of car time - Zoo stop and Blue Mtns Scenic world extra fees which would be wasted time if you opt out. Loved the last stop - Harbour cruise…drops you at Circular Quay for end point.

Highly unusual weather - Our trip was a difficult one to review as there was some very unusual weather for the time of year which meant a thick mist covered most of the views meaning we didn’t see a lot but what we did glimpse was enough to know on a normal day it would have been spectacular. Our driver/guide Les did his upmost to try and find viewing locations which had a gap in the mist, his local knowledge of the area had him darting the minibus all over the place. During all of which he was very entertaining and informative and as he’d lived in the mountains there wasn’t a question he couldn’t answer. Would recommend.

Not good for kids or infant - I wouldn't recommend this tour, especially if you are traveling with kids or infant. Biggest downside of all there is no river cruise, it is just an ordinary ferry!! No explanation in how the day would go or where would you stop, there are no alternatives if you don't go to Sydney zoo or scenic world you will have to wait in the bus. No Wentworth waterfall and just one lookout stop.

Ripoff but nice guide - Total ripoff. We paid 180 AUD for two people for this tour and what you actually pay for is just the bus ride. The tour started without any information about how the day would go. We reached the Zoo on the way and had to pay entrance (35 AUD each). Then we were taken to the first stop at the Blue Mountains where the price for the zip line was 65 AUD each!! We didn’t want to pay the price so we decided to hike around on our own. We didn’t get proper information about trails or anything. The worst part was the “river cruise” where our guide had us queuing up while buying each of us tickets for the public transport ferry. He even made it late for this so we had to wait almost 30 min for the ferry to arrive. To be fair, the guide was very experienced and knew a lot about the nature here and kept us entertained during the drive. I would strongly suggest to plan this trip out on your own instead of this ripoff.

Confusing waste of money! - I cannot believe that I have spent this much money on something so useless. What an absolute daylight robbery! We specifically booked this tour to experience the Blue Mountains and made a very deliberate decision not to book the tours that included Sydney Zoo and Scenic World. We didn’t want to spend time and money on either, which is why the Day Tour Including Parramatta River Cruise was our choice. Still, we were taken to both and pressured to spend a lot of money on these experiences - simply because the guide didn’t offer any alternatives. The guide shamed us for missing out, even though this was explicitly not a part of the official program. Those of us who stood our ground and declined to enter Scenic World were met with snarky comments from the guide: “You’ve just missed the best part of the tour,” he informed us, before dropping us off in a parking lot and leaving us completely to ourselves for an hour and a half. When we asked for advice as to what we could spend our time doing, he brushed us off and was honestly quite rude. During the day, he didn’t bother to tell us anything about the program - where we would go, when there would be time to eat or use a restroom. Finally, we were driven to “The River Cruise”… What a joke! They are literally referring to the 10$ public transport ferry from Olympic Park Wharf to Circular Quay?! And it wasn’t even timed properly, so we had to wait for half an hour for the ferry. Why on earth would we want to be dropped off by a guide in the middle of nowhere, left to ourselves in a foreign country - and almost two hours away from our pickup-place? People ended up getting Ubers for approx. 60-70$AUD just to get home, as the “river cruise” simply didn’t make any sense. All in all, this was a confusing, disappointing and useless tour. The guide really did the best he could, and he had a great insight in Australian history and wildlife. Sadly, he also had a tendency to talk behind other travellers’ backs, creating a weird atmosphere. And the format simply couldn’t be worse. So unless you want to spend six hours on a bus, rush through sights and get a feeling that you are “missing out on all the fun,” I suggest you get yourself a public transport ticket to The Blue Mountains and explore the sights yourself. This could save you hundreds of dollars and your sanity!
