• Featherdale Sydney Wildlife Park - Start your day at 8 AM, if you choose, as this can be arranged before or on the day of your tour. We suggest visiting this park in the morning on your way to the Blue Mountains. This is a wonderful opportunity to get up close with native Australian wildlife, including kangaroos, pademelons, wallabies, koalas, dingoes, and more. You can take your time or make it a quick visit; the day is yours to enjoy at your own pace.

• Glenbrook - Our first stop offers an optional visit to The Lower Blue Mountains National Park, a less-traveled area. You’ll be surrounded by lush bushland and the sounds of wildlife, including kookaburras, cockatoos, magpies, and cicadas in the summer. Enjoy the serene sounds of the Australian bush here in the lower mountains national park. This is a true escape from the crowds. We might stop for a quick coffee or head straight to the upper mountains, depending on your preferences. This stop may or may not be included, as access is dependent on crossing a water causeway, which may be unavailable after heavy rain. Optional town visit showcasing the diversity of charming villages.

• Wentworth Falls - This is the most breathtaking waterfall in the mountains and a must-see when visiting this region. Receive photography tips for long exposure waterfall shots on your iPhone, then take a walk to view the falls with an optional extension to the bottom. The views are stunning! How far we go is up to you. Depending on your fitness level, this may or may not be included for those preferring more of a driving tour with less walking.

Fancy a swim in the warmer months? Bring your swimwear for a dip in the pool beneath the waterfall; it’s an unforgettable experience.

• Leura - Optional stop: This mountain village is a popular spot for village shopping and lunch. With a variety of village-style shops, you’ll immerse yourself in the local mountain atmosphere. There are several cafes offering a great range of quality gourmet foods. It can be busy here, but it’s worth a visit as you can spend as much or as little time as you like. We find Katoomba offers a wider range for lunch, and it’s quick too; we’ll discuss this on the day.
• Blue Mountains - We spend most of our time exploring the lush rainforest areas and lookouts in the Blue Mountains. Discover remote lookouts perfect for capturing with your own equipment, such as aerial drone photography and videography.
• Echo Point Lookout - Photographing the Three Sisters is a highlight of the day. We time it so the Three Sisters are showcased at their best in the afternoon light from the west. Although it’s challenging to avoid crowds here, the best time to visit is late afternoon when most visitors have left. We save the best for last.
• The Three Sisters - Enjoy the views of the sisters in the afternoon with beautiful golden light from the west.
• Govetts Leap - If time allows, we may visit Govetts Leap for views of the Grose Valley. Typically, there are fewer visitors here, providing a peaceful environment to enjoy the fresh mountain air and spectacular valley views.
• Katoomba - As the largest township in the mountains and one of the earliest established tourist regions, you’ll appreciate the diversity of this town. There are many options for a quick lunch, a stop at a brewery, a pub lunch at an extra cost, or simply strolling through the numerous eclectic shops at your own pace. We recommend this township for a stroll and lunch.
