Blackness Castle - Blackness Castle was used as Fort William in the Outlander series.
Linlithgow Palace - We will pass by Linlithgow Palace. Due to current safety concerns, we cannot get close, but we can see part of it from a distance. Wentworth Prison scenes were filmed here.
Culross - We cross the Firth of Forth to visit the small town of Culross, known as Cranesmuir in the Outlander series.
Falkland - Traveling through the Kingdom of Fife, we arrive at the small town of Falkland, which represents Inverness in the Outlander series. We will spend one hour here and have lunch.
The House of Bruar - Leaving Falkland, we travel north towards the real Inverness and stop halfway at The House of Bruar for a restroom break.
Clava Cairns - We visit Clava Cairns, a 4000-year-old ancient burial site, which inspired the fictional Craig na Dun in Outlander.
Culloden Battlefield - A short distance from Clava Cairns is Culloden Battlefield. Here, we will walk to see the Clan Fraser Gravestone, The Well of the Dead, the Memorial Cairn, and Old Leanach Cottage. On our way back, we will pass by The Kings Stables Station.
Old High St Stephen’s Church - We will stop to visit the graveyard of The Old High Church/St. Stephen’s, where Jacobite prisoners were held before being executed. You will see musket ball marks on the church wall.

Inverness Castle - We will pick you up from your accommodation at 8am and pass by Inverness Castle, where you will see a statue of Flora Macdonald, famous for helping Bonnie Prince Charlie escape after the Battle of Culloden. The tune called the Skye Boat Song is the same as the Outlander theme song.
Beauly Priory - We travel to the small town of Beauly to visit Beauly Priory, a 13th-century monastery that was the ancient burial place for the Chiefs of Clans Fraser and Mackenzie.
Wardlaw Mausoleum - A few miles from Beauly, we visit Wardlaw Mausoleum, the burial place of Clan Fraser. See the key that the wedding ring was made from, go up the Bell Tower and ring the bell, and explore the Mausoleum.
Urquhart Castle - We travel over the hills to Urquhart Castle on the shore of Loch Ness. Wander around the ruins and enjoy the fantastic views of Loch Ness.
Fort Augustus - Traveling further down the side of Loch Ness, we come to Fort Augustus, where we stop briefly to see The Caledonian Canal locks.
Commando Monument - Further down the Great Glen, we stop briefly at The Commando Memorial at Spean Bridge. If the weather is nice, we will get a good view of Britain’s highest mountain, Ben Nevis.
Fort William - At the end of The Great Glen, we arrive at Fort William. We do not stop here, just pass through.
Glencoe Visitor Centre - A short drive south of Fort William, we arrive at Glencoe, where we visit the visitor center and see a replica of a 17th-century dwelling. We will also have lunch in this area. The scenery is outstanding.
