Must to do activities if you visit Ljubljana in Slovenia. - Amazing experience at Lake Bled! You should also join the Castle Tour if you want a good photo of the lake and the island with the church!

The Lake of Fairy Tales - Lake Bled is a basin of glacial origin only 2km long. Its calm blue-green waters, the small island with its characteristic church and the castle on a rocky outcrop are one of the most iconic and romantic images in Slovenia. Here you can walk along the perimeter of the lake, visit the castle, located in a panoramic position on the lake, go hiking or board a boat to reach the islet.

Very romantic, interesting and convenient tour for discovering Slovenia - Wonderful tour and very convenient being picked up direct from the hotel. Planned a proposal for this trip and it couldn’t have gone any smoother than this.

Highly Recomended - I liked that we were just a small goup. Mika, the guide, spoke very good English and was very informative and helpful. I enjoyed it a lot. Highly recommended.

One of our highlights in Slovenia! - Overall great trip! Our driver led the trip to Bled with some history of Slovenia and the Julian Alps. He was very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. We chose the Castle tour, mostly for the view, and skipped the boat ride in order to walk around the entire lake. We took SO MANY PHOTOS! Exceptional vistas around every corner! This was one of our highlights in Slovenia!

Beautiful place of Slovenia - Very beautiful lake in a magnificent setting. The central island with its old church is very nice. The castle is worth visiting because it is beautiful and with beautiful views. Walking around the lake is a very good walk. Parking is not so easy, except in the castle where there is free place

Stunning mixture of turquoise blue and emerald green, its crystal clear waters, at the foot of the Julian Alps. - Simply stunning, with crystal clear waters and color that depending on the angle varies from turquoise blue to emerald green, along the mountain range of the Julian Alps. The contemplation without a doubt is formidable at any time of year, but I liked it in the summer, when I could swim/dive in its waters. With good infrastructure, it is worth walking through at least a good part of its surroundings. Mainly due to the proximity to the capital Ljubliana (being quietly feasible to make knock-and-go), it is the most impervious tour of the country.

Brochure is misleading!!!! - The brochure listed Blend Island, Blend Castle, Traditional Boat Ride, Blend cream cake. None of this is included, if you want to go to the island on the boat it is 18 euro, if you want to see the castle it is 17 euro, no cakes in sight, even at the bakery on the island. If you want to go inside the church on the island it is another 12 euro. Would not recommend this tour, all of us on the bus thought it was a rip off. Also, to take the boat, you have to have cash!

It would have been a good trip, if the guide had actually picked us up. - Absolutely terrible service - we were originally booked onto the Lake Bled, Bohinj and Vintgar Gorge tour, but unfortunately as we were the only two booked onto the trip they called us to reschedule to this tour the day prior. That is understandable and although we were disappointed, we knew it could happen if the tour didn’t meet minimum numbers. We were told via phone and by email to meet at French Revolution Square for 07:40 for this tour so we rushed breakfast and ran to our location to be there on time. Time came and went, other guides from the same company came to pick up their guests for other tours (all of which did not want to help us or contact our driver/office, they just kept repeating ‘your driver will come’ in a blasé manner). We had stood for almost an hour before I called the office, only to be told that our guide was already in Lake Bled and had ‘forgotten to pick us up’. Excuse me?! How is that even possible?! I could understand if it was myself and my partner only as we’d been rescheduled last minute to this trip, however another guest was also waiting for the same trip. Do they not check names or tickets when people board the bus? When I asked if they or another driver could collect us to take us they said it wasn’t possible. I was left very infuriated by the lack of care and service and I’m pleased I didn’t book anymore tours with this company (because who knows if they would’ve shown up). It turns out that going to Lake Bled is very easy and cheap to do on your own from Ljubljana via a public bus and it meant we could explore the lake at our pleasure.
