Fantastic morning at Lake Bled from Ljubljana - I have been in Slovenia twice, but never Ljubljana and Lake Bled, and on a recent trip to Croatia for a football match in Zagreb, I decided to put that right and it was better late than never!!!! I arrived from Zagreb at 7am, and the tour was suppose to start at 8am, but day before I got a call to say the tour would start at 7:30am, and when asked if I could bring my small travel case (as it would be to early to check in to my hotel) they said it was no problem. Tour started at 7:30am from CityHotel (foolishly I have went to the spot where the googlemap pin told me to go, when the actual meeting point was around the corner at the hotel entrance) and the journey up to Lake Bled took around 40 minutes. Our guide for the tour was excellent and took the time to speak to everyone in the group and tell us the history of the area and of Slovenia/Lake Bled. It is not a fully guided tour, but more transport to the castle and then around the lake, with only the castle entrance included in the price. There is about 3 stops, where you are told what time to be back at the bus for. First stop is the castle, where you also get a token for a Slovenian Cream Cake from the coffee shop, then after a hour or so, you make your way down to where you get the boats across to the island, where you get another hour or so. One final stop in the town for 30-45 minutes, and then its back to Ljubljana. All in all, probably the highlight of my whole trip to the Balkans, and would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to go see some of the most stunning scenery you will ever see.

Lake Bled — a must see! - Lake Bked is absolutely amazing. Domino knew his history as well. We had enough time to do the castle and boat ride with a small walk around the lake. The extra treat of the traditional cake at the castle was excellent

Family run! - Magical, sublime, supreme! One of the most beautiful places on Earth! Our boat guide explained that their tour business is family run, all of the rowers are relatef and there are 26 boats. Our guide was Alesh. Sweet, ask for him!

Gorgeous Lake Bled - We had a beautiful day and our guide Domen pointed out things along the way as well as the history of the region. The castle had fantastic views and the Kremma Rezina cake was delicious. We did the optional Pletna boat to the island. There was enough time left over to take a small stroll around the lake.

Great day at Lake Bled - I was traveling to Ljubljana for work and it was recommended to check out Lake Bled and it did not disappoint! Rocco was our driver and he was very knowledgeable of the area and had great stories to tell about Slovenia. We got to explore the castle, then had free time to see Lake Bled. You have the option to take a boat over to the island on Lake Bled, I highly recommend this. It is an additional cost (18 euro), because the boats are a family run business, but it is worth it.

Time is Tight. - The lake in autumn is beautiful. The castle is a good one. Unfortunately, the "Tour" is really a well informed driver that drops you off on your own, with a limited time and curfew. There is no time for personal errors like: - dropped off by boats that don't operate for another hour but wait 40 minutes to tell you. - that walk around the lake can't be do e in the limited "free time", you really should rent a bicycle. - if you Wander into the town it's easy to become disoriented and lost. - the walk up to the castle is steep and a cardiac workout. -Best to pick up the cake "To Go", to allow time to see the castle. The Tour isn't but a half day Tour and the guide is rushed to get back to pick up another group for his afternoon tour..

The tour wastes over 90 minutes of your day - We took the combined tour with the caves This is not one tour but a combination of two tours after the caves they return to the city to drop people off and then wait to pick up new people so you wind up eating about 90 minutes of your day I’m sure there are better options out there

Don't trust Viator - The tour operator cut it short. Instead of a 6 hour tour, they only offered a 4 hour tour and did not do the guided tour of Bled. Viator should not sell packages of operators that don't keep their word. Everyone in the tour complained about it to the guide. The tour operator was To do in Slovenia. That was the first and the last time I bought a tour from Viator.

Would use this company again - Extra tour, horse drawn carriage around Lake. Serious short cheated by Viator. Instead of 6hr tour we only got 4hr, no guided tour of lake, just left on our own.
