Highlights
  • Mall of America - Located at the Mall of America in Bloomington, just south of Minneapolis, SEA LIFE Minnesota is home to a variety of unique marine displays and activities and some 10,000 sea creatures.
  • SEA LIFE at Mall of America - Visitors of all ages will gain a new understanding of the world’s oceans through the aquarium’s ocean tanks, Octopus Garden and rock pool, where you’ll see animals never before seen in Minnesota, and learn about marine conservation.

Make your way through interactive exhibits such as Claws, where you’ll find Japanese spider crabs — just one of the many crustaceans featured here. Discover coconut crabs, which use their huge claws like bolt cutters to crack open coconuts and be awed by porcupine crabs, land crabs and more as you get up-close views of how they eat.

Spot clown fish and sea turtles and watch jellyfish floating inside cylindrical tanks that mimic ocean tides and currents. At the Pacific Northwest display, you can learn about sea anemones, cucumbers and sea stars.

As you walk through the 300-foot-long (91-meter) tunnel, sandtiger sharks flash rows of sharp teeth above your head and cownose rays glide on the aquarium floor. Make your way to four themed tanks, starting with hundreds of sea creatures like nurse, zebra, and bamboo sharks that swim around in the Rainbow Reef tank. Marvel at green sawfish, loggerhead turtles, and guitarfish at Atlantis; see arapaima and tiger shovelnose catfish at the Amazon River; and check out alligator gar, paddlefish, and large-mouth bass at Sturgeon Lake.

Passionate about preserving marine habitats and the species that live in them, the informative staff at SEA LIFE Minnesota celebrates everything about the sea. The aquarium hosts shark and ray feedings, as well as educational demonstrations throughout the day. Learn about successful breeding programs for sharks and endangered creatures like seahorses, and discover how the aquarium supports global conservation efforts.

Ok - The aquarium was my favorite. As an adult it wasn’t worth the money although I will say that a place like this is excellent for children.

First time visit - awesome time! - This was the first time visiting Mall of America and we put all the attractions up to a vote. My three kids (13/11/8) all voted for the aquarium to be the first thing we saw and we were not let down! The animals all looked great, the tunnel was very cool, and the staff were friendly and very helpful. The facility was clean and modern. The 3D/Virtual adventure was so-so, but overall we enjoyed the experience.

Great for the family - I wasn’t sure what to expect with an aquarium in a mall but it was awesome. If we ever make it back to Minnesota we will be sure to visit.

Look for promo codes, love the jellies - The jellyfish are a favorite of ours. We go here pretty much anytime we go to MoA. Feeding the sting rays is not really worth it. We’ve done that at several places in the US & this one is hard to do for little kids. It will take as long as you want it too, if you are reading the information placards. If you aren’t it will go quickly. In the past we have done the behind the scenes which was fun. Look for promo codes on admissions, they have done grouped with other things at MoA and just theirs.

So much fun and so much to learn - The shark exhibit. The walkway with the fish above you. The jellyfish exhibit was also pretty cool. Very educational for kids

Good Times at MOA! - We had a blast exploring the aquarium on Saturday! Purchasing tickets at the kiosk (to the left of the escalators down) and getting scanned in was a breeze. Our favorite parts were the jellyfish rooms and the tunnel. We could have stayed there all day! We didn't take advantage of the all-day part of the ticket, but it is great knowing we could have come back all day long after we scanned in, if we wanted. Everyone in my group raved about this part of our trip. We would definitely come back again!

Very nice - This aquarium is decent and a fun place if you like sea life. It is a bit expensive but still fun. I really liked walling through the rainforest exhibit and being able to take a picture with the alligator. Walking throughthe aquarium tunnel was also nice to see different sea habitats.

definitely a good little... - definitely a good little trip, but not worth $26 a person. when it’s crowded you are kind of rushed through and it ended in about 15 mins. they don’t care if you’re late. i liked the touch pool, the woman there was really educational and sweet

Fun but expensive. - There were some very awesome parts including a long tunnel. However even stopping to enjoy all it was only about 45 minutes to get through max and I have been to bigger aquariums with less cost. Using Viator saved some money and I was able to get tickets to go in at the same time I arrived.

Viator sucks - never again - The Viator website sucks. I would never use Viator again. I tried to pay with PayPal, the Viator site did not take me back to a confirmation page so I didn’t know the PayPal transaction went through and I ended up paying twice for tickets. Viator refused to refund my money.
