Excellent Iceland Sightseeing Tour. - 3 Day Tour made up of 1 Day Golden Circle Tour combined with 2 Day South Coast Tour. Overall good tour. 2nd leg of 2 Day tour led by Kooly Jonsson (not sure about the spelling) was excellent. Friendly, professional, did not rush the group at each site, although he requested everyone to keep to the time. Gave clear introductions to each site and instructions on time and where to meet. No one got lost. Everyone had more than enough time. We saw every sight listed, and maybe a bit more. Close to the end, some ran out of stamina and didn't want to get down for some quick sightseeing stops. I got down every stop. Weather was good - cold but skies clear, not snowing or raining, no strong winds. Ice cave is a highlight on the last day - took only about 2 hours as we were one of the first groups - so minimal queueing/waiting time. No Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis) appeared during the tour though......that means I have to come back!

It’s a very amazing... - It’s a very amazing memory in Iceland. Special thanks to our guide Brak (may I spell wrong, sorry about that) a handsome and responsibility man, nice to us and drive us back to Reykjavík safety at last during the strong snow winds. Thank you very much.

I travelled solo to... - I travelled solo to Iceland and took part in the tour and it was one of the best things I have done. If you haven't been before and are not sure whether or not to take the plunge, just do it. You won't regret it. The attractions are incredible and the guides are friendly and knowledgeable.

Love of my life - This tour is so amazing, especially the tour guide, who has made our journey unforgettable and enjoyable! Even though we didn’t see the aurora by eyes, which is a pity, I would still give this tour a 10 out of 10! Not only the view is touchable and breathtaking, but also how the people in Iceland show kindness and passion. Our guide took us to many extra spots, which is kind, and gave us more time enjoying the view than usual, which is generous. I hope one day I could come to Iceland again!

Blue Ice Cave is a MUST! - I feel like this tour hit most of the major tourist spots on Iceland. For my tour day 1 had extremely poor weather so the guide primarily stuck to driving rather than trying to talk and drive which was fine by me (early in the day we saw another tour bus had slid off the road). Despite the poor weather, the sites were amazing. It was very cool to watch the geyser freeze for a very short moment before it crashed back into the water (the bonus of a cold and windy day). On night 1 we were dropped off with the understanding that on day 2 we would be on a different bus with a different guide. Our guide on day 2 was brusque but knowledgeable. Weather was better so he was able to guide and drive at the same time, although his driving was a bit scary at times. Early in the day he nearly rear ended a truck that slowed for an emergency vehicle. Day 2 and 3 sites were even better than day one making me glad I did not just do the golden circle. Day 2 hotel was out on a farm so you could see the aurora borealis. Despite a rating of 2 for the evening, I was able to see it with the clear skies. A bad aurora in Iceland is better than a good day in the continental US. The blue ice cave on day three was definitely a wonder not to miss. Absolutely gorgeous! All of day 3 was filled with ice whether it was icebergs or glaciers. All truly amazing. I'm glad we had good weather for day 3 as the sun really gave diamond beach its characteristic sparkle and the glaciers were brilliant shades of blue. Logistical things: --they are serious about small bags only. The back of the bus did not have much room for storage. --there is very little space on the bus. This was the worst part of the trip. You can put your backpack in the back of the bus and I'd recommend only carry on a small bag (grocery bag size) on board. There is almost no leg room. Think economy seats on a super economy airline. I'm a medium sized person and the seat belt barely fit. --on the plus side, the bus had wifi and USB ports. My day 1 bus had both USB A and USB C, but day 2 only USB A. Your phone will drain faster in the cold. --as a solo traveler I was nervous they were going to room me with someone else, but as advertised, I got my own room (twin bed) both nights. The rooms were comfortable. Day 2 hotel did not have usable wifi in some of the rooms--seemed like a router issue. And the cell signal was not good. --breakfast at both hotels was very good --we stopped at several locations that had food. The restaurant at black sand beach was kind of slow. Fastest things there are soup and dessert. I wish I had spent less time at the restaurant and more time on the beach. That being said, the pasta I got was quite good. --overall it was a good trip. Not the best tour guiding I've seen, but given that my overall goal was to just get to the blue ice cave without having to drive myself in winter, it was a success. I definitely need to come back in the summer.
