fantastic arctic adventures - I had a wonderful experience of 4 days of tour around the Golden Circle and the south coast of Iceland. This is my first time ever in Iceland but I think without a doubt that I chose the best tour operator, I want to thank the guides for their preparation, organization and sympathy. I recommend you to my friends and if I come back I will choose Artic Adventures again.

Our south coast adventure - My boyfriend and I chose the 4-day Golden Circle, South Coast, Volcano hike and Northern lights tour with Arctic Adventures. The first 3 days was a tour with our amazing Arctic Adventures guide Kacper! Our tour began with us being picked up from our hotel in a minibus. Our group was 18 amazing people that we got to connect with on our trip! We then headed to Thingvellir National Park on day one. We got to see the Geysir and Gullfoss waterfall. We had plenty of time to explore the area and Kacper made several stops along the way on each day for bathroom breaks and niche bakeries and shops for us to have coffee and pastries. We stayed at the Adventure Geirland hotel on day one and two in a cozy cabin and Kacper booked an amazing dinner for us all for the nights. Day two we made several stops to see beautiful waterfalls and scenery! The stops along the was perfect because we truly got to see the Iceland lowlands. We then stopped at two lagoons and saw many many glaciers that really made you appreciate and admire the beauty of our planet and this beautiful country! Diamond beach was a sight but we didn’t not see the many diamonds you would see on the pictures but plenty was still around. Day three we did our glacier hike at Katla Ice Cave! Kacper was not our hiking guide here but he drove us near the transfer to an off-road jeep with an experienced glacier guide that provide us with chains for our boots and was very attentive during the walk to the glacier and inside the cave while giving us time to take pictures and admire the many layers of this glacier. We then made our way to black sand beach where we had some lunch and then to see the Rutshellir cave which was occupied by early settlers of Iceland! We then made our way back to Reykjavik where everyone was dropped off at their respective stops. Hotel Ísland Spa was our accommodation for the night before the Volcano hike and Northern lights tour. The Volcano hike was with a different company and guide and included exploring many volcanic fields but we did not get to see fresh lava or the active volcano - this was more of a walk in the fields and a stop to see blue lagoon. Our Northern Lights tour ended up being cancelled due to unfavorable weather conditions but we are able to get a refund for this. To end this review, our tour of South Iceland was an amazing adventure and we could not have been able to see the beauty of Iceland without our amazing tour guide Kacper! -Maneesha (who wrote this review) and Myron

Great tour - My husband & I booked the 4 day Iceland tour and had an excellent time! We really lucked out because the weather was pretty rough for most of our trip (extreme winds and snow!), but our guide, Siggi, was able to navigate us out of Reykjavik & still showed us a wonderful time. He had to switch up some of the itinerary, but we felt so lucky to have an experienced native help us with this tour - we would not have been able to read road closures & weather & to pivot to other activities the way he did.

Excellent experience - We had a fantastic experience with Arctic Adventures doing a small van tour around parts of Iceland during mid-April 2024. They were super helpful with pre-vacation questions, the tour guide was extremely informative but didn't talk non-stop, and we saw--and were able to appreciate--so much more than we would have been able to had we rented a car and drove all around. This was my first pre-planned multi-day tour, and I wondered if we would feel rushed at each stop. Not a bit. Plenty of time in each location, along with valuable info/context from our guide. When we return to Iceland--and that's a "when", not an "if"--we'll gladly book with Arctic Adventures again.

Best tour guide and itinerary - Kacper Wilk was our tour guide and made the experience what it was. He was positive, funny, adventurous, knowledgeable, friendly, outgoing, flexible, attentive, I can go on, but basically everything you would want in a tour guide. My wife and friends agreed that we were very lucky to have him as our lead. I would recommend this trip to anyone and everyone. The waterfalls, the glaciers, the ice caves, the beaches... Everything was breathtaking. Iceland is a beautiful and friendly country. I would encourage anyone to visit. My favorite part of this specific tour was diamond beach and the glacier hike. The blue ice caves and walks through the crevices were something I'll never forget.

Excellent Guide and Tours - Arctic Adventures was a wonderful tour company to work with. We don’t usually do tours to be on our own schedule but Iceland winter (and darkness) changed our minds this trip. I looked at lots of other operators and chose Arctic. They were amazing on communicating before the tour. I had several questions and got responses very quickly. Few days out, I called with questions and got super helpful answers immediately. Our 4 day tour is really like a 3 day and then 2 other tours the last day. That was fine though it does complicate logistics on the last day as you need to move hotels with your own reservation (for the last night after the Volcano hike) and don’t know your last hotel until a week or so out. G was our guide on the 3 day tour and he was amazing. We had a small group mini bus with lots of stops along the way. He talked to us about Iceland and explained lots about the scenery. Bus was very comfortable and G really made the trip! The glacier walk is definitely a highlight. One note - since it was winter the hotels and some stops were covered in ice and very treacherous. G had crampons for us - but those places didn’t really take care of paths ( this is not Arctics Fault, just something to be aware of). The last day Bus Travel Iceland does the Volcano hike. If you’re reasonably fit and hike often it’s a pretty easy hike with some steep sections, totally worth it to do! We got picked up after that hike by our Magical Aurora tour guide. Again very punctual and great service! We even got to see the Aurora. Overall, if you’re considering it…just book it.

Gorgeous, amazing Iceland - These guys are fun! We spent spent four days with our guides Grun and Nick on a tour bus. We’d star the day at 8am and get dropped to the hotel at 8pm. The exception was the Norther Lights tour e When the day ended past midnight. They took us for the Lava Cave tour, which they didn’t charge for. The highlight of the trip was snorkeling and scuba diving at Silfra, it’s out of this world. During the drive the guides were hilarious. They also spoke of the history and culture of Iceland. A special mention must be made of guide Grun, a lady from Norway, with 15,000 dives under her belt, which is close to almost 2 years underwater. She’s very cheerful and extremely hardworking. I’d highly recommend Arctic Adventures.

organisation lacking but great guides! - We booked the four day trip a few months ago, with the understanding it would be split in two different two days tours. The day before we were due to leave for the first trip they cancelled the extra activities on the tour, the geothermal baths and the vulcano caves. They offered alternative single trips, which we accepted because we didn’t have time to select anything else for other companies. Because of this change, the pick-up locations were confused and we almost missed one of the tours. However, we did get a refund for the missed activities and the tour guides were really good plus Iceland was amazing! The main issue was with the communication and organisation that added stress to the holiday.

EXTREMELTY Disappointed & RUDE Customer Service - We had a multi-day tour booked and the country had shut down all travel due to inclement weather and this company still will not issue a refund. This is absolutely outrageous for a trip that is $1,500+ and there’s no “safe travel” in the area. Yet they had the audacity to ask us to cancel our reservation so they could get booking funds returned to them. Do not trust or support this money hungry, disrespectful company!
