Additional Information

Take pleasure in snorkeling at Silfra with your own personal guide. The temperature of the Silfra Fissure ranges between 2-4 degrees. You get to pick either a drysuit or a wetsuit for an immersive Viking experience. We will be in the pristine water for approximately 30 to 40 minutes. A wetsuit provides more flexibility and enables you to dive, whereas a drysuit offers warmth as you gently drift down the crevice between continents.

All participants must know how to swim and be comfortable in water
All participants must be able to communicate in English
Please note that that dry suits can sometimes feel quite tight and constricting, especially around the neck and wrists
Minimum age is 12 years, please reach out regarding younger participants & Participants over the age of 65 need to get a physicians approval.
Be at minimum 150cm (4’9) tall / maximum 200cm (6’7) tall, and be at minimum 50kg (99 lbs) / maximum 120kg (264 lbs)
Don’t wear glasses, instead bring contact lenses or your own prescription mask (if you have one)
Recommended to bring a change of clothes (the drysuit has a very small chance of leaking)
We recommend wearing long thermal underwear and thick wool socks a a base layer under the drysuit
All participants heights, weights and age must be provided to local operator. If you do not provide at time of booking, please contact supplier immediately after booking to provide this information
All participants will need to fill out a medical form before participating in the tour. Please find a link to the medical statement on your ticket voucher right after booking the experience to be sure if you qualify.
Please dress according to weather - no heals or jeans
Note: Each guide can assist one group of up to six participants at a time. Up to three different groups can be present during this activity.

Please park your car at “Thingvellir P5” and walk 400m back along the road until you reach a smaller car park with all the snorkel and dive. Please be there, ready to meet your guide 15 minutes before your tour is due to begin.

Amazing Snorkeling Experience in Silfra! - My snorkeling adventure at Silfra was nothing short of breathtaking, and it was made even better by having Fernando as our guide. From start to finish, Fernando was absolutely fantastic. His knowledge of the area and the history of Silfra added so much depth to the experience. He explained everything clearly, making us feel comfortable and excited even before we got into the water. Once we were in the water, it was like entering another world. The crystal-clear visibility and vibrant colors of the Silfra fissure were beyond anything I could have imagined. Fernando guided us through the best spots, ensuring we didn’t miss any of the amazing sights. He was attentive, patient, and genuinely passionate about what he does, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Fernando also took the time to ensure everyone in the group was having a great time, offering tips and encouragement along the way. His enthusiasm was contagious, and it was clear that he wanted each of us to have the best experience possible. I can’t recommend this experience enough, and if you’re lucky enough to get Fernando as your guide, you’re in for an unforgettable adventure! !
