Wonderful Day!!! - There was an initial setback regarding our pick up place, but once we are in the van, the day went remarkably well. Our guide for the day was Karim, who was more than happy to reply to queries and questions. After the pick ups, we headed towards Dahab, all tour buses driving in row escorted by a police van. We stopped initially at a gas station with a store attached. There were free toilets available there. There was also breakfast and snacks available at the store. We then stopped at a diving shop close to Dahab to rent our equipments. The entire set ie snorkels, a wet suit, a life jacket and flippers cost 10USD, which was very good as on the previous day at the Ras Mohammed tour the same set cost 20USD. However, its advisable to pay in dollars,euro or British pounds. If you make the payment in Egyptian pounds they charge you a flat conversion rate of 50EGP against a dollar, which was a much higer rate than the rate on that day. The camel ride was exciting. The snorkeling itself was around 200m from the actual blue hole and was for around an hour. We enjoyed the lunch and we could order beverages at our own cost. I was intrigued by the Bomba which was a combination of mango, strawberry and guava juice and was surprisingly very good. The toilets here cost 10EGP. On the way to Canyon Salama, we stopped at the Turquoise Center. I purchased a few items and Ive used them for 2 weeks now and am very happy with the result. Its worth buying the face and mud packs from there. Each bottle costs 10USD and can last a long time. The jeep ride from the parking to Canyon Salama, (Karim described it as a free massage) was fun as we were tossed from one end of the jeep to another. Luckily we were all crammed up at the back and landed up bumping into each other. We laughed all the way through and I secretly wished that it had lasted longer. The canyon itself is not very big but its very beautiful and one can finish it in 30mins. There were children selling some trinkets in the canyon. We were followed for a while by a child who kept demanding for money, but later went away. We posed for some pictures in the canyon, taken by the photographer of the tour. You can purchase them at the end of the tour. Dahab is an hour away from Sharm El Sheikh and we were back on time as per the itinerary. Overall a wonderful fun filled day.

Just a scam of a trip - Snorkeling in the blue hole only for half an hour. Sit a lot in the car, no shopping stop at Dahab, no walking tour of the city. I felt scammed. And no full day. At 2:30 you’re done with everything. To travel for that long so they can cut every experience short or for good. Very disappointed.
