Operating Schedule: Daily departures from Katoomba station at 9:00am. Buses run every 60 minutes until the last circuit finishes at 5:30pm.

Value for money - Love the Hop on and hop off bus. Easy to travel around Blue Mountain. It is valid for 3 days. Total 20+ stops. Also the scenic world tickets were good. Unlimited rides within the day.

Great way to sightsee - This a great way to get around,easy to hop on and off at different spots. We made full use of our day tickets,went to echo point and scenic world both great. Buses are clean,drivers polite and helpful.

Great value! - The bus was great way to get around the area if you don’t want to rent a vehicle, and the drivers were personable and helpful. The schedule was actually every half hour instead of every hour, which was really convenient. We thoroughly enjoyed Scenic World as well, and it definitely added value to the experience.

Blue Mtns by bus!! - Skip driving & ride the bus! The hop on/off tour worked perfectly for us. Choose where you want to go, get off the bus then pop back on when you’re done hiking, shopping or eating. Parking was tough at some locations so we were happy to have the bus. Stops are well-marked, drivers & company staff are friendly & provide great narrative. The buses ran on or close to schedule. Buses were clean & comfortable. The views even from the bus were spectacular. All in all it was a great experience & I wouldn’t change a thing. Great value too! Definitely recommend!

Breathtaking views and stunning walks - This service from Katoomba Centre, right across from the rail station, is fantastic value for money and the Blue Mountains are just stunning. I believe children travel free. We spent the whole day hopping on and off the bus, moving from one amazing viewpoint or walking trail to another, plus spent two hours, including a lunch stop, in the beautiful village of Leura. There are over 30 stops on the route that you can choose from. The tickets office provides a guide book that explains every stop, viewpoint and 18 suggested walks. The bus was very clean and comfortable and the drivers were very friendly and very knowledgeable, giving lots of fascinating history and facts along the route. If you have more than one day in the area, they will extend your ticket for free! The bus also stops and picks up at Scenicworld if you have or wish to purchase tickets for this attraction. A camera is a must, as are comfortable walking shoes.

Disappointed - The bus drivers were very helpful & informative as was the lady in the office but I agree with others that it is misleading to call this a hop on hop off bus service when you would expect buses to pass by every few minutes. You definitely have to decide what stops are a priority for you as there is no way you can do more than 4 or 5 stops. We got the first bus of the day & decided to follow the 'family fun day' but after waiting in queues at Scenic World & about 45 mins for a bus it was already 3 pm & we only had time for two more stops and finished late at Leura village so all the shops & cafes were shut. And this was in August so I imagine there would be a lot more waiting around in the peak season. And we were walking pretty fast which would not be possible with a young family.

Would not recommend - The bus only operates every hour. That limits the locations you can get off and on and see in a day. If it is a rainy/cloudy day, you won't see much. If the main interest is echo point and scenic world, might as well just get the normal bus from the train station to those points.
