- War Remnants Museum - You will be picked up at your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City. Joining the “Saigon Highlights Tour” is the best way to discover Ho Chi Minh City. Riding on the back of a motorbike, you will be taken around the city to admire its beauty.
First, you will be taken by motorbike to visit “Thien Hau Temple,” built in 1760 to honor Mazu, the “wife of the sea.” The temple’s exterior features beautiful curved roofs and small porcelain statues representing religious figures and legends from China. Inside, the roofs are adorned with colorful dioramas depicting 19th-century Chinese cityscapes. Additionally, you can see the interior design, especially the three statues of the “Lady of the Sea” placed on the main altar. At Thien Hau Temple, you will have the opportunity to explore various sculptures and statues and admire the artwork.
Next, you will visit Chinatown in District 5, which covers an area of 4 square kilometers on the west side of the Saigon River. It is the largest and most luxurious shopping center in Vietnam.
Visit the “Textile Material Street Market,” home to 500 cloth counters. This market is the largest fabric supplier in Saigon, offering items such as clothing, yarn, elastic, cotton, and chiffon. It opens early in the morning and closes at sunset. Known as a “shopping paradise and cheap food center,” the “Textile Material Street Market” is one of the top five shopping destinations in Ho Chi Minh City. Locals and tourists come here not only for the excellent shopping but also to enjoy fresh cream or coffee and experience the cultural atmosphere of Saigon.
Where will you go next? You will explore the “Colorful Flower Market,” “Wedding Service Street Market,” and “Motorbike Spare Part Street Market.” You can stop for a cup of coffee and enjoy local food before continuing to visit other places like the “War Remnants Museum” and taking beautiful photos outside the Reunification Palace.
Additionally, you will visit the “Notre-Dame Cathedral” and the “Central Post Office.” These cultural sites offer insights into Vietnamese life during the Indochinese Empire period.
At the end of your tour, you will be taken back to your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City.
