Highlights
  • Saigon Notre Dame Cathedral - Notre-Dame Cathedral Basilica of Saigon, commonly known as Notre-Dame Cathedral, is a Catholic cathedral located in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Built in the late 19th century, the cathedral’s architecture is inspired by the French Gothic style, with its iconic twin bell towers standing at a height of 58 meters. The building’s red brick exterior is decorated with intricate stone carvings and stained-glass windows. Despite being a popular tourist attraction and a place of worship for local Catholics, the cathedral has faced challenges in recent years due to structural deterioration and pollution, requiring ongoing renovation and preservation efforts.

Nice walk - It was a nice way to see some of the highlights of Ho Chi Min. Andrea did a good job explaining everything to us. Since it was just my wife and I we got her full attention.

Great walking tour, very friendly guide - Great walking tour to do in the morning before the real heat hits the city. Our extremely friendly guide David showed us around, told us all about the city, its history and gave us some tips on some great places as well. Absolutely recommend to do this tour at the start of your visit to Saigon.

Highly recommended. Tri was great! - Going on a walking tour across a nice city with a local guide helped me understand the finer things about the city and the culture. I'm extremely grateful to Tri for making me feel like home and telling me about the everyday lives of Vietnamese people, in addition to the cultural and historical aspects of Saigon. Loved it!

Lovely morning with our guide Helen - We had such a lovely morning meeting Helen our guide and exploring some of the landmarks of the city. Helen was engaging and answered any questions we had about Vietnamese culture. She brought us to the Independence Palace, the Post Office, Notre Dame and we even got to see the hidden weapons bunker. We also go to try some Vietnamese coffee which was delicious and I don't normally drink coffee!! Great morning and more than we expected!

Wonderful! I love it! - The tour is terrific! You not only see the city but also listen to historical and local stories from local people. The Uni student who went with me was friendly. I did not feel like I went with a tour guide, but I felt like he was a friend of mine, and together we explored the city. I love it! Thanks, Joy Journeys team. I had one wonderful day in Saigon.

knowledgeable, interesting, a must to go in HCMC - The tour was awesome!! I am not really interested in researching, and I love to hear stories from local people rather than find something on the Internet, so I decided to book this tour. At first, I suspected a bit because they haven't got many reviews. So I did make a lot of consideration with other tours. But since I went to the Mekong with this company once, so I bet they would have another good tour, so I trust them to book. And trust me, you will not regret it. The student who accompanied me was friendly, reliable, and enthusiastic. She tried to provide as much as information she can, so I feel this tour is knowledgeable and really impressive. Now I know more and more about HCMC. I know more stories about a country in Asia that has a great history and friendly people. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who visits HCMC.

educational and exciting experience - Wonderful experience Very educational Its more than just exploring the tunnels, it's like a living museum You tour the tunnels, various aspects of the the tunnel, observe hiding methods, booby traps, shoot their guns, eat what they ate Po (CEO of the company) is extra responsive via whats app. he gave a lot of tips on things to do besides this excursion Safa (our tour guide) was great with his knowledge and interaction He has family members directly involved in the war, so it was great to have that personalization We booked a private tour for two ($170 USD in March 2023) It started right on time Tour lasted 730a-3p We stopped at a shop where victims of agent orange create artwork My wife, who is totally not interested in the war whatsoever, still had a great tie
