Exceptional Diving @ Sail Rock - This company is so well organised and professional, and my instructor, Margaux, was exceptional. Very patient with all of us plus excellent knowledge of fish life. Kindly took some video clips on her Go Pro and on the way back to Samui composed a montage then transferred by Air Drop. Amazing huge schools of barracuda and big-eye trevally were one of many highlights. Merci Beaucoup Margaux & Discovery Dive Center. Has to be #1 in Samui!

Great dive trip with my 12 years old daughter. - Very good dive center. Definitely recommended to friends and families. Especially when diving with kids. Dive with my daughter for 2 days and she enjoyed every moment and her had her 12 years birthday on board on the day to dive in Sail Rock. All staff are very professional and take care details, from greeting in the morning when walk in to equipment set up and assistance in and out of water. To washing and store our gear. Much appreciated to both dive instructors and all crew members. Highly recommended.

Highly professional and experienced dive center - I have just completed 2 successive days of 2 diving trips with Discovery Divers in Koh Samui. Their overall organisation is of high standard ( incl. booking, briefings, equipment , boats) and the instructors are highly experienced and friendly, making the experience all the more safer and pleasant. I will use them again when next diving in Samui.

Excellent dive trip for family. - Great two dive session with the team at Sail Rock. Even with a large group of divers on the boat the ratio of dive instructor to diver was excellent. Our dive instructor was very understanding and practical, with a high degree of sensibility to safety. Sail Rock is a solid 45mins sail from the dock, and the two dives, broken by a break for lunch were great. Visibility was excellent, a lot of shoals of fish around the rock, we saw a moray reel and many other types of fish. We were back on the dock by 2pm, so still had a large part of the day.

Poor experience, wonderful staff - As an experienced diver of more than 20 years, 500+ dives and in many places over the world, I use reviews moreso to rate the operator rather than the dive sites. I give honest reviews and that includes the good points and bad. Unfortunately my experience this week confirms my thoughts of staying away from the resort dive operators. Firstly, diving is like golf, we have good days and bad days, thats the luck of the draw, i have had some terrible dives but this dive was by far the worst ever at Sail Rock Koh Samui. Having paid more than AUD$650 for two divers for double dive, Despite the low vis of less than 7 mtrs, due to excessive algae, the dive guide was unable to find the actual dive site and costing 100bar in air, having to surface to find the rock just 15 mtrs to the south yet taking us to 22 mtrs depth and swimming in circles before accepting she was lost. While the operation runs well, the boat was in my opinion way over crowded with first time divers, experienced divers and try-divers. 25-30 passengers, i counted 9 vessels at the dive site, each around the same size, on the same small dive site. So 225- 270 divers on one small rock simultaneously. Needless to say it was an absolute cluster!! We sat the second dive out, was not worth the stress and not why we dive. Nothing in the description refers to the 200+ divers on the one small rock, weather and tides clearly contribute to the low vis of less than 7 mtrs yet still go to the dive site. I feel this was more a financial decision by the operator than anything else with AUD$8000 per dive vessel, no alternative offered, no refund offered, yet staff knew the vis was very poor the previous day. On a positive, staff were terrific, friendly and helpful and attentive, albeit apologetic about the low vis, and crowded dive site, but this isnt their first time. Very disappointing, not recommended if you dive for the beauty, serenity and peacefulness because you wont get it here.
