Sail Rock is considered a world class dive site and is the closest dive site to Koh Samui.
Your day will start with us picking you up at your hotel approximately 7:00 am. We will take you to the pier where you can enjoy some light breakfast and coffee/tea and meet Discovery Divers Team.
The boat will leave the pier at 8:00 am, it takes approximately 50 minutes to reach this outstanding dive site. Amazing big school of fish, as well as some of the most spectacular underwater scenery.
with regular Whale sharks sightings, but not guaranteed.
It is also a great option if you wish to be back relatively early as we normally return back to the pier at Koh Samui about 14:00.

Our pier is located on Bangrak beach near the Big Buddha, behind the Punpreeda resort, the meeting time would be 7:20 am at the pier if you choose to meet us there rather than us picking you up from your hotel/resort.

Great Dive Experience! - I had two amazing dives at Sail Rock, much better than I expected since we had cloudy skies and there was heavy rain the previous day. Multiple very large schools of fish everywhere I looked for both dives. Our dive guide Otillio was great. Very enthusiastic and very knowledgeable. A very good boat with a sun shade covering the whole boat. There were three other groups in the boat but it never felt crowded. And the crew were great helping us get in and out of the water. Definitely recommend Discovery Divers!!

The perfect one (Safety) stop for all Divers - As a seasoned diver I have used a fair few different operators over the years and I can honestly say that Discovery divers is right up there with the best of them.
We had 2 open water students in the family that were treated amazingly well,Filipe deserves special mention, his enthusiasm, calm nature and superb teaching style really did make the difference.
Once our trainees had qualified, we all went on a 2 tank dive day around Ko Toa. Filipe was our guide on this trip and again he demonstrated excellent local knowledge of the site and his ability to find small gems such as nudibranchs was stunning. Our transport to and from the island was a fast and comfortable speed boats. Lunch was delicious and the complimentary drinks are a nice touch. The boat was well equipped with safety equipment and the crew provided what felt like an enjoyable and safe environment to travel in.
Only small downside is the space for personal stuff on the boat, but that's a fair trade for the speed that you can get to Ko Tao etc (I did this trip 20 years ago it took 4 hours each way!) There is space at the bow for sitting and enjoying the view, can be used most of the time unless it gets a bit choppy.
Rental equipment is of a high standard, and the whole trip was very good value for money in my opinion.
Overall, I would be more than happy to dive with Discovery divers again, and I intend to later this week.

Best place I have ever dived! - Amazing!
So friendly and helpful. I have dived with Discovery divers twice, a yeah a part and they were amazing both time! I will definitely make it back to the island again to dive with Discovery Divers.Worth every penny

Glad I visited - We dived as a group of 4 so I felt well looked after. Visibility was ok on the day we went but I’ve heard it’s been better at other times but still plenty of life to see and a nice chimney to swim through. I really liked that food & drinks were included (with dietary requirements taken care of) so didn’t need to pack this. Be prepared for somewhat bumpy boat journey on the way back though.

Get Get Wet It's What Dreams Are Made Off - Picked up from hotel 7.45 as instructed. Had pre dive/brief in dive shop by the speed boat. Got on boat (all equipment supplied and waiting for me on boat). Nice comfortable boat journey to sail rock. Carried out 2 dives and returned back. > you need to experience it yourself to feel how good it was. Everybody on boat very happy diving and excellent help from instructors on board. 5 star service.

Dive of a lifetime! Incredible team. - I had such a wonderful time diving in Koh Tao (Mango Bay) - had to go back immediately the following day for a trip to Sail Rock. These were my first open water dives since getting my certification and both days were so memorable.
The team were extremely friendly, funny and super attentive. The whole team made us feel very well looked after and it felt like we were with a group of our friends. My dive master Margaux was amazing! She was so helpful and made the whole experience even more enjoyable, pointing out all of the incredible sea life we spotted and taking time to explain everything.
The visibility at both sites was unbeatable! Truly a diver’s paradise. I highly recommend this dive centre!

Excellent staff, equipment, experience. - Highly recommend the team here.
Staff - from the moment we got to the center through the experience of diving, we felt very welcome, and in good knowledgeable hands. Hands. Even though we dive about once a year, it's always great to have a dive master who makes you feel a reassured, and takes care of you. You. It was myself and my two twin boys, and Gita did a great job on all aspects of the pre-dive, the dive, and even after. Of the crew were also very friendly, knowledgeable, and helped each other out with great teamwork.
Boat & Equipment - The boat was a relatively mid-sized boat exclusively for diving. So that was great. Was in great shape. The dive equipment also was all in great shape, all matched, including even fins. Clearly the center invested their equipment, including the gear for the junior divers in our group. This was great to see.
Sail Rock Dive - pretty interesting massive mini idland that sticks out of the ocean and you dive around it. Really great in that different divers can go to different depths around the same rock structure. One unique thing compared to other dives I've done is I've never seen as many massive schools of fish that you get to swim through over and over. Pretty cool. The coral is in great shape too.

a memorable time with Discovery Divers - I came to Samui in February for the first time and didn't know what diving center to choose. I ended up walking into the Discovery Divers office and felt welcome right away. I am so glad I ended up diving with them - the diving instructors are amazing and they really try to give everyone the best experience possible. I came back to Samui only 2 months after my first visit, to dive with them for 5 more weeks. On my first dive day since I came back I was lucky and got to see a whale shark. A couple of days later we spotted false killer whales in our lunch break and got to swim with them.
Later on during my stay I did the Rescue Diver course with Instructor Zoe. She did a great job making the two course days a very fun experience.
I can only recommend Discovery Divers to everyone who is looking for a diving center on Samui!

Amazing dive experience! - We did a two dive trip to Sail Rock and Samran pinnacle and our trip was amazing!! The staff are super nice and make sure everyone feels comfortable throughout the whole trip. We are relatively new divers and our guide, Dion, made sure we were very prepared and showed us some awesome sea life during our dives. Highly recommend this trip and Discovery!

Great Guides, Huge Schools of Fish, Perfect 1/2 day out! - This dive trip was super well organised and the crew and guides were great. I signed up online for the dive the night before the trip and the team emailed me to arrange pick-up. The driver showed up at the precise time indicated and the ride to the jetty was smooth despite the dreary weather. The ride to the site was rough but the dives were amazing - huge schools of fish, great guides, totally worth it.
