Perfect setting for a perfect evening - The house is on a hill with a beautiful view of Koh Pha Ngan. Lin, our teacher, was amasing and patient and everything was organised well. We cooked 3 dishes and everything was delicious! I would highly recommend this experience to anybody who likes to cook (especially over fire), grow their own produce and eat of course!

Fantastic! Great Experience and Wonderful People & Food. - WOW!!!! What can I say. Such a great experience. Tom, the host was witty and informative and very welcoming. Lyn was a wealth of knowledge and very easy to listen to and follow. We chopped and cooked and then all sat and ate together. The meal was absolutely delicious and I made it :). It was also a time to meet other like minded people from around the world who like to travel, cook and eat. I would highly recommend this experience and next time we are back in Koh Samui will will definitely take another class. Thank you Thank you Jungle Kitchen

Don’t miss this treat! - Such a brilliant experience from start to finish. A gorgeous property with incredible views and a very cute cat 😀. We checked out the local incredients in the garden, prepped and cooked 3 dishes and all sat down to eat together. Excellent hosts - was a really fun evening. Great to learn more about the local dishes but also super sociable and fun. Would highly reccomend.

Great cooking school - Loved this cooking school experience. Set in a very beautiful villa, with a great view and curated cooking utensils as the backdrop to our experience. Tom is an amiable host and Lin is a calm and experienced cook and great teacher. We enjoyed the food we made- Penang curry, turmeric fish and tom yum soup. Way too much food - come hungry!

A wonderful evening! - We had a wonderful time at Tom and Lin’s jungle kitchen; a highlight of our time in beautiful Koh Samui. Authentic cooking and getting to learn all the tricks and tips was a truly enjoyable experience. Tom and Lin were incredibly generous with their time and went to a lot of effort to make us feel welcome. Also, the food we cooked was excellent - the best fish I’ve ever had! Highly recommend!

One of the best cooking classes i took in the world! - We had an EXCELLENT TIME! From start to finish, everything was on point! Tom is a phenomenal host, and Chef Lin knows how 1) to provide clear cut instructions 2) and have you make authentic Thai dishes, like it was a piece of cake! HIGHLY recommended, if you are staying in Koh Samui!

Great Time at the Jungle Kitchen - This was by far the best activity we did in Koh Samui. Tom and Lin were great mentors and the location and house were beautiful. If you do anything in Koh Samui signup for this class quick since they limit it to eight guests. This class is what you tell stories about long after you get home. Enjoy.

Great learning experience with lovely hosts. - Five friends joined the course in the late afternoon. After a very short taxi ride from fisherman's village we were greeted by Tom and shown into his and Lin's beautiful hillside villa. We were joined by a young American couple. I think there are a maximum of eight places. Tom walked us around the garden. Showing us vegetables and herbs which we would use later. We collected chillies, lemongrass, turmeric and other ingredients. Tom handed us over to Lin, who as well as being an expert cook was clear and patient in her instruction. We made three dishes: a Penang duck curry, Tom Yum Goong soup and sweet and sour chicken. Lin's organisation was superb, with us doing all of the preparation in advance and cooking all three dishes at the last. Lin had marinated and smoked the duck over charcoal and coconut and she deep fried the chicken in a large batch. Saving us from the risk of using a wok full of oil. Nonetheless she explained and showed us each step so we could repeat at home. My wife's Penang Curry was the best I have tasted. Mine came a poor second. It was great to taste both and understand what improvements I could make. The sweet and sour was a revelation. Nothing like the sickly sweet versions I've been served in the UK. I would have said I don't like Sweet and Sour until Lin taught me how to cook one. Water was included, and we were able to purchase a very acceptable wine at reasonable prices. Tom serving us whilst cooking. Both joined us to eat and we enjoyed Toms lively conversation and Lin's quieter, intelligent contributions. My only regret is that Lin was preparing a Beef Rendang for their dinner the following day. This looked and smelled incredible. Unfortunately it wasn't ready for us to taste. Lin also sells Lasagne at the regular night markets in fisherman's village. We've just received the recipes and will be trying them at home. I just need to find a good source of ingredients. All in all a fantastic evening and very good value.
