Only go during summer - Due to the weather (can’t be helped), we were unable to sit on the beach. However, we were told in the condition of bad weather, we would still be sat somewhere private and intimate and fancy - this was not the case. We were just at the normal hotel restaurant by the pool with everyone else including screaming families and kids. Completely killed the mood unfortunately :( The staff however were amazing and kind and accommodating and have made up for a 3 star review. The food was quite good, nothing special for the price especially not as we weren’t paying for the atmosphere too but again, weather can’t be controlled. I wish they were able to seat us somewhere inside decorated nicely and equally as private (as we were told) with some candles despite the beach not working out and it would’ve made it way more worth the money. I’d only book this if you KNOW you’ll get good weather - we are in rainy season so can’t complain too much regarding weather it was always a risk, just really disappointed we weren’t seated somewhere equally as nice for the price

Wonderful experience , but could... -
Wonderful experience , but could have been better. My expectations were probably too high so I was a little disappointed. I think we booked the dinner too early in the evening, as I wanted to see the light fade at sunset. But then there were people sitting right behind us on their beach lounges which made us feel a little awkward . Eventually they did leave which was better. The set up was otherwise superb. The flowers on the table and the tent were a delight. The food was coming out too quickly and we had to tell the waiter to slow down. We have 3 hours . The food in itself was way too much and not of a standard which we would expect. Don't get me wrong the food was good and pleasantly presented, but i was expecting a better quality. Deep fried calamari, sweet and sour pork, massaman currie, spring rolls , chicken skewers are all lovely but it's what I would get from my local take away restaurant and not Amari Samui standards , or at least my expectations. There was far too much food, we struggled to eat half of it . 2 entrees each, soup , 5 main dishes and dessert was too much. Serving less food and better quality would have been much nicer. I picked this dinner because it sounded exclusive as in the writeup it said 'indulgent' and 'private', but there was nothing indulgent about the food and that's why were there-dinner and nothing private about location. None of the candles around the tent were lit and it wasn't a windy night. We walked home along the beach past other hotels doing similar things and wished we had gone there instead. Overall though it was a pleasant evening with excellent service and the table was well setup, but the food let us down.
