Fantastic Ephesus - Amazing trip! We loved it! A long bus journey but a few stops along the way to break it up. Ephesus is truly fantastic to see! Our English speaking guide was lovely! Many thanks! Thess

Efes - Amazing trip to Efes. All was prepared and well organized. Sometimes it is worth to find something local, not delivered by hotel. Thanks Bartu!

Brilliant visit to Ephesus - a brilliant day out - journey took around 4 hours but the scenery on the way was great. I would suggest that you wear a hot in the summer as its very hot in the open space but a great experience to go back in time. I did not visit the House of Virgin Mary but instead went shopping on our way back.

Visit to Ephesus - Pick up was on time to meet up with the main coach. Tour operator Mete was polite and friendly. On our way there, he gave us a history lesson which was very interesting and during our visit when reach Ephesus. Although the journey was long, we made several stops, including breakfast which was at a beautiful location. Had a wonderful day and would recommend this trip, although would be great on confirmation to state what is included and what is not, example, entrance fee.

Not a very good experience - I was collected from my hotel and they were on time. The bus service to bodrum was great. Then we had to swapped to another bus which will take us to Ephesus. The guide was attentive. The tour felt rush and they take you to expensive markets on the way really shame as people said there are more local bazaar where they can direct you to have a better experience. The tour was all day (I was picked up at 6 am and returned to my hotel at 8 pm) Ephesus is a beautiful place. But definitely check if you can go by your own as you will have to rush to take pictures and follow the guide. The food was the best either they will take you to another shop and rush you to eat. It will be better if they ask if anyone wants to buy stuff and take time from your lunch time. Rather than later you have to rush with it. Virgin Mary trip is very short. You can't take pictures make sure you realise you can't come back.

1 hour of Content w/ 13 Hours of Commitment - This trip should take 6–8 hours (2 to 3 hour drives each way), but due to 3 forced shopping trips, and a lack of organization it took 13. The tour guides were friendly, but their English is not at a level where they should be giving guided tours. They also on multiple occasions said information that I know for a fact to be incorrect. Not sure if this was them being uninformed or they just didn’t realize what they were saying in English meant something else. Nothing other than an average lunch (no drinks) is included so you’re basically paying $50 for a bus ticket, an average meal, and a bad tour of Ephesus. I ended up wandering Ephesus solo ten minutes into the tour, b/c I didn’t feel like following a guide who would point at something and provide information like “This is Roman Baths. This is where they bathed.” The entry to Ephesus is an additional 40 Euros, and the House of Mary sounded like it was another 20 Euros (like I said it was hard to understand the guides.) If you don’t go to the House of Mary, they drop you in a town for 1.5 hours (was told it would be 45 minutes) that has nothing to do. Also worth mentioning they didn’t know who was on the bus, and would have left Ephesus without one of the other passengers had I not stopped them. I then had to go back and find the lady, b/c they had no idea who was on their bus. It would be cheaper and a better use of your time to simply rent a car and drive to Ephesus yourself. I wish I had done that. I’m sure you could find a better guide for cheaper at Ephesus or an audio tour if you so desired.

Different than promised here! - First of all, Ephesus is definitely worth a visit and it was very impressive. Unfortunately, TripAdvisor made some false promises here: at the start of the bus ride, we were charged €30 per person for the entrance fee to Ephesus instead of €12 as stated here. Apparently the government increased the price some time ago. You should definitely pay in lira because we didn't get any change in euros. After a stop for breakfast, we were taken to a classic sales pitch (a jewelry store), although there was only something about a ceramics shop there. When we arrived in Ephesus, it was unfortunately difficult to understand our guide because he didn't speak English very well and seemed a bit overwhelmed. Then we went to the next sales pitch (a candy store - probably specially before lunch) and at around 3 p.m. we finally had something to eat. Then we would have gone to the House of the Virgin Mary, but by that point almost everyone was already very exhausted and only a few went with us. Since we were promised that we would be able to see the 7th Wonder of the Ancient World, the Temple of Artemis - which of course was not kept - we decided to visit it on our own during this time (I would highly recommend it!). As people got lost in the large group and because of all these stops, we ended up arriving back at 7:30 p.m. instead of 6 p.m. So maybe it would be better to invest a little more and not go through such mass processing. And TripAdvisor should urgently revise some of the information!

Avoid this at all costs, Guide did not speak English and could not spell Ephesus - I could not even describe a worse experience in my entire adult life as this one. I’ve travelled to 30+ countries and this was the worst. The following things are to be highlighted here: 1. The guide did not speak English; not us not anyone could understand anything 2. Lunch had 0 vegetarian options (Anybody vegan or vegetarian - Avoid this trip, they are not vegetarian friendly) 3. They don’t have bottled water in the bus and no welcome drink served as promised 4. The guide could not spell Ephesus, that’s how bad the English was 5. Waste of time, in your trip time is of the essence and this was a waste of time We recommend everyone to avoid
