The Royal Sultan Gumbet - I was a bit surprised me who only knew the hammam with women who take care of you, but the experience is quite pleasant. The welcome was perfect and the service on top, I emerged conquered. Try the experience you will not regret....

Turkish Hammam - I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and felt refreshed and relaxed at the end with an added on massage.
Just a caution to the ladies you would need to ask for a female masseuse if you are uncomfortable with a male doing it and secondly you are better off wearing a bikini instead of a swimming costume. I would also recommend you take your own flip flops. Having said that I had a male masseuse who was very professional.
The driver picked us up promptly from the supermarket near the port. The staff were welcoming and friendly. It is a trio of brothers that own the business who look so alike.

Very fun experience - It was a very fun experience. We were picked up and taken to the bath house. Once there we had the bath and arranged for an extra hour-long massage. We came away feeling relaxed and soothed. When we asked, they went our of their way and took us down to the Markets vs taking us back to the port and us having to walk to the markets.

GREAT DEAL for $30. Some caveats (below) - I am going to write the most honest review I can, good and bad. Mostly to manage expectations of those that MIGHT be disappointed if not forewarned, and to encourage those with some adventuresomeness in their heart and $30 in their pockets to GO HERE!
Good:
1. They picked us up and dropped us off at the cruise terminal, free of charge. Remember we are talking about a product that only costs $30!
2. Communication, through WhatsApp was great.
3. You are greeted by very friendly, English speaking hosts when you first arrive and are given instructions where to leave your stuff (they have lockable lockers). It is the last time you will receive clear instructions, so buckle up.
4. The hammam bath itself (a male attendant for me, a male, females for my female friends) is brief but interesting. They put on one of those $1 scrubby gloves and scrub all over, then throw BUCKETS of foam on you (which is sort of fun) and rinse off. My attendant was Turkish.
5. The massage, only 30 minutes was very good. VERY GOOD, if brief (remember folks: $30). The massagers were in our case, 100% Kenyan women.
Bad:
1. What to do and when to do it almost completely lacking. If you are thinking of a US "spa experience" where someone comes in and says, "now its time for your manicure" or whatever, forget it. We were first ushered in to a very very VERY hot dry sauna (much hotter than what you've used in the gym or whatever) and ....left alone. Basically after 20 minutes when we were hot as hell, we wandered out. Place was deserted that was odd as it was annoying. We did finally track one of the massagers (who in fact later would be friendly) who in the most unhelpful way told us "wait here" and walked off, and we waited and waited and waited and then we were finally ushered into the steamy Hamam room. The hamam room was...empty. We stayed in there alone for another 15 minutes, then finally went looking for ....someone. They told us "no wait...wait!" and in a short time the attendants did come in finally. Maybe i'm fragile but it was disconcerting to be left alone in an empty business waiting......and waiting....without direction.
2. The hammam bath area is tidy enough, but suffered from a pervasive mold smell that might have been the reason why other reviewers referenced "not up to cleanliness standards". I was fine. My wife would have walked out if she was there. Everyone is different I guess.
3. As in so many placed, the FIRST place you are brought when you arrive is a sitting room where a menu of add ons is offered. Remembering that this costs $30, I was pretty unlikely to add on a $110 massage of any description lol. The angry disappointment on the hosts face said all. It was offputting.
Reminders:
-WEAR A BATHING SUIT. Some of my female friends with me did not and we all had a very embarrassing situation to deal with. They used towels (given by the Hamam) but once the hamam bath started....well.... At one point I just walked out of the hammam room to preserve their modesty...
-Bring some money to tip at least the massuese.
-Enjoy! Got $30 (and another $20 for the masseuse, don't be cheap now) and some time, and are in for some adventure? Do it. Allergic to being ignored for more than half your time there, and concerned about a steam room that smells like an underwashed collegiate shower? Go to one of the big hotel hammams, pay $150, and enjoy that.
Hope this helps.

Dirty, dingy, and unprofessional - We booked this tour for nine friends and family to enjoy a traditional Hammam Turkish bath. All seemed OK when the company coordinated for a pick up from the port to their business location. However, on arrival the business was very dirty and dingy. We were Pressured into adding massages, which were very hit or miss. Most unsettling was the assumption that everybody was comfortable being fully nude in front of everyone else, regardless of gender. I would not recommend this tour.

Sexually molested - I've never been to a Turkish bath but I have been to Korean day spas before so I had some expectations of what would happen. No one told me to bring swim wear, which was fine I am not a terribly shy person. The guy who did my scrub only did it for about 2 minutes (being generous) and same with the foam bath. I'm pretty sure I got sexually molested. I was not comfortable at all. He repeatedly touched my breasts and definitely had his hand on my labia/ clitoris multiple times. He kept pulling my hair (not in the gentle way that feels nice like a scalp massage) I'm not sure if he was trying to do some neck stretches or what but what he was doing was periodically choking me and even slapped my cheeks a few times. He also like kept gripping and pinching my face. I did not see one female there (customer or employee) I couldn't help but think this hammam is a way for them to take out their frustrations? Then the massage part was next and that guy was incredibly heavy handed. I asked him at least three times to lighten the pressure. The face mask was supposed to be included but they told me I had to pay extra.

HORRIBLE!!! - I would not recommend!! The owner of the Sultan facility was extremely rude !! The transfer was a BIG WASTE OF TIME!! The hamam is unisex which is something the booking doesn’t state neither does it give instructions on what to bring. DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME BOOKING !!
