great experience - the hike was wonderful, you will get to see an untouched forests, hot water, amazing nature, waterfalls... everything would be perfect if you are into nature. also ridwan is pretty helpful, he has been a friend more than a tour guide. i would recommend for everyone who likes hiking and pure nature

Amazing Volcano trekking - I had such a great time with Ridwan on his Volcano hike and jungle trekking tour. I can definitely recommend it! He and his driver picked us up early at the hostel and the feeling was good right from the start. The drive to the volcano takes around 2 hours but we stopped along the way where Ridwan explained/ showed things about the local Indonesian life. The hike takes you through a lush, green rainforest. Be aware: it is a rainforest so lots of muddy puddles so your shoes get soaked and dirty, but that is part of the jungle experience. The crater of the volcano is amazing and makes you feel you are on another planet. It is possible to swim in one of the hot springs there, which is a special experience in itself. On the way back we passed the waterfall for some pictures and the option to swim there as well. The most amazing thing is during the whole trip we didn't see any other tourists. These are absolutely beautiful places to visit but without any of the overcrowdedness of most touristy places. Thank you again, Ridwan!

One of a kind experience - Thank you so much to Ridware and friends for an amazing experience during this tour. I went in not knowing much or having any expectations. For someone who love to hike, this was quite demanding hike because we head uphill at certain areas. The best possible situation for testing your willingness to explore through nature. The view at the crater was worth it! Pack an extra pair of clothes if you want to dip in the waters. I felt safe and excited throughout the trip! And Ridwan goes the extra mile when we ask for help. Thankful for his coordination of the tour and I made a new friend to explore the city together! I can't wait to explore more area of Indonesia with his guidance and support!

amazing guide and hike!!! - ridwan was an amazing guide!!! he brought us around one of the villages and explained so many things that we wouldn't have thought to research on when coming to bogor. he was very attentive to detail! it rained when we hiked to the crater, and the guides pitched a makeshift tent for us. it was an amazing experience to see the crater in both sunny and rainy situations. he was also very patient with us as it was one of our first time hiking. the waterfall was amazing even though we couldn't swim due to safety. thank you so much for the very very very lovely hike and experience!!!!!! will definitely recommend to my friends and family who wants to visit indonesia for an off-the-beaten track experience.

Best Adventurous Day trip in Jakarta/Bogor Area - What a super trip we experienced! Hands down a 10 out of 10. Our driver was very experienced and kind the whole trip! First we received a tour trough the rice fields, how rice was being made the traditional way, drunk coffee with an amazing view of the volcano mountain. Our amazing guide also explained about the different traditional houses around the volcano, how people lived, and how different vegetables and farms were run by the local people. Afterwards we went for the jungle trekking, spotted Gibbons, super experience and nice temperature because of the altitude. Arriving at the volcano sight, what a breathtaking experience, definitely worthy, don’t hesitate to take this trip! Also, no tourists around which makes it even more unique. Afterwards, we stopped at a very cool waterfall! On the way back our driver and the guide took us to a very nice diner place. All in all, the whole trip was super nicely arranged! Thankyou Riduan!

Awesome & highly recommended trip - Tour guidenya baik sekali,walaupun kelompok kami cuma 2 orang, mereka sudi meluangkan semua waktu dan tenaga mereka demi membuat pengalaman kami sangat menyenangkan. Mantap sekali👍👍 The tour guides are very generous and kind, eventhough our group was just 2 people, they were willing to spend all their time and energy just to make sure that we have a very good experience. The mountain environment was very pleasant and full of beautiful sceneries. I never thought that it was possible for us to walk and chill right on top of the active volcano. It's a very worthwhile adventure hike, highly recommended, 100/100 - The best part of this trip is not just that we can walk on the lava floor, but also bathing ourselves in the river right beside the bubbling craters! Lunchbox is provided, and the view there is very grand, very nice for photography Do bring along a hat and be ready to get dirty while hiking. It's not a tough hike, but the bushes can get thick and tangled ur hair (for ladies), and there's mud pool along the trail The guide is really engaging, took many great candid photos for us while hiking, and also brought us extra raincoat as there's rainpour as we hike down. Don’t miss Mount Salat volcano crate floor!!! - This was an all day tour with pick up from our local hotel (Royal Tulip) drive up to Mount Salat. 5 K hike through a rain forest up to the crater floor. Wear long pants with swim wear under. Wear Teva style hiking shoes if you have them, this is what the guides wear & makes for easily washing off the mud after if you go in rainy season. We wore full hiking boots and that’s fine too. Just need to clean them up after. This was a beautiful & interesting hike from start to finish! Hot bubbling water in pockets all around the crater floor. Bring a mask, sulfur smells in this area. The boiling volcano water steams mix with the big river & at the end of the hike back you stop for a warm waterfall hole you can swim in. Highly recommend this tour & this guide! Ridwang was a wealth of information about the volcano, vegetation, the area & city around it & Indonesia in general. He does tours (hiking & city) all over Java & Bali! Book with him! We will be again for sure!! He is even listed in the lonely planet book as a recommended tour guide 👍🏼.

Be ware for this tour … they value money above all things. - Beware for overseas tourists. This tour is not what it said in the review.Suppose to tracked with my hubby and son 3 of us. Then on the day I could not make it as I have emergency arrangements with air con broke down in my son room . You know how hot Jakarta weather is if no air con. They charge me full in-spite. I already made a deposit of the tour for 3 peoples. With code of ethics they can just take my deposit money since I can make it for the day. Not charge my hubby and my son and me which I even not there full amount. They told me some arrangements have be done. What arrangements they even did not provide food or water . Everything is pay on your cost. The persons who Mr Ridwan is not even there only his people accompanied. He just collected all the money have to be a paid full before the tour start. I am Indonesian myself who have been to many countries and tried different tour services. I feel being rip off can you imagine for tourists who have language barrier. There is no room for negotiations for being dupe like this. There are other place in Indonesia with people who serve a full service with dignity.
