During your stay in Jakarta, take time to visit the neighboring city of Bogor, nestled at the foot of a mountain. You’ll enjoy a change in climate, experiencing cooler temperatures. The city is home to a central Botanical Garden, which neighbors the Presidential Palace complex. Spread across 87 hectares, the garden boasts 15,000 different kinds of trees and plants. As Bogor is known for its rainy climate, you can explore the garden by foot, or rent an electric bicycle, scooter, mini car or conventional bicycle. There’s much to see and do within the botanic paradise.

Post your garden visit, embark on a drive up a hill, where you’ll see the local houses and markets lining the street. Reach a waterfall where monkeys reside in groups.

For animal lovers, there’s an option to visit the safari - simply cover the entrance fee and driver gasoline costs. Please note that this will extend the duration of your tour. If you’re short on time, or would prefer not to deal with potential additional traffic, you may want to skip this option.

Waterfall and swimming! - Seeing the Bogor market, the botanical garden, and the waterfall was great. The lunch at the rice field was delicious and my guide was excellent. We swam at a pool under a stunning waterfall.

wonderful day trip - We had a great time exploring Bogor with Ferdy, who made the whole experience fun with his energetic personality! He was very knowledgeable about the history of the area, the types of plants we saw at Bogor Botanical Gardens, and the food we ate. A great guide and an awesome experience! The waterfall hike in particular was awesome as we got to see wild monkeys and walk directly up the river. Oh, and lunch was delicious! Overall a great experience and would recommend to anyone looking to take a day trip out of Jakarta.

A day trip to Bogor - It was an amazing day trip to Bogor, just 1 hour outside Jakarta. Our tour guide, who is a Bogor local, brought us to key tourist destinations such as the Botanical Garden, and lesser known, off the beaten path places such as the Nangka Waterfall, rice fields and temple. The puppet maker even treated us to some homemade fried bananas. All in all, a really great day out of the city.

One I'll never forget - The tour is put together well. With a timely pick up at the hotel by our friendly and very enthusiastic guide and driver. The trip takes you to a lot of amazing places that aren't too touristic. So you'll get a more local experience. The food and drinks during the stops were amazing. 10 out of 10 would recommend to friends

Great tour, well worth the money - Our tour guide, Ferdy, was great. He picked us up from the hotel on time. Communications were good. His English was excellent and he was very knowledgeable about every aspect of the tour, including the historical side of it which made it all very interesting. He was also very light hearted and supportive. The path to the waterfall was not easy (we're in our late sixties/early seventies) but it was worth the effort and he made sure we were both safe at all times. It is necessary to walk through a rocky stream to get to the waterfall, but we hadn't appreciated this and did not bring appropriate footwear. No problem, Ferdy provided us with a couple of pairs of his own flipflops. All-in-all a great tour and well worth the money.
