On Sundays, there is a high turnout of people due to pilgrimages, in which case we might switch to another attraction or take you to a lookout point by car.\n\nAn additional fee of seven dollars per person is required for the funicular ride.\n\n- Gold Museum (Museo del Oro) - The tour continues to the Gold Museum (closed on Mondays), which boasts the world’s largest collection of pre-Hispanic goldsmith work (about 53,000 gold pieces), and showcases indigenous representations of the El Dorado legend.\n\nAdmission incurs an additional cost of two dollars per person.\n\nWe also include a visit to the crafts fair, where we can advise you on purchasing the finest Certified Colombian emeralds.\n- Plaza de Bolivar de Bogota - The tour includes a walk through the La Candelaria neighborhood, featuring republican architecture from the 1600s to 1800s - the Historic Center (Main Square) of Bolivar, where we will see the Primatial Cathedral, the Presidential Palace, the National Capitol, the 20th of July House, Liévano Palace (the city hall), and the Palace of Justice. We suggest dining at an old mansion from the 1800s that offers a variety of typical dishes (optional).\n\n- Botero Museum of the Bank of the Republic - The museum houses a substantial collection of artworks donated to Colombia by the Colombian artist Fernando Botero, aimed at promoting art and culture in his home country. The collection includes 87 pieces from his personal collection of universal art and another 123 works created by Botero himself.

Citytour during layover in Bogota - Great service. From the begining of our interactions through whatsapp German was very responsive and accomodating. He picked me up at 6am and we spent the 6 hrs touring Bogota with stops for coffee and food, as i asked for. He is knowledgeable , flexible (adapts to your schedule) and it was fun to do this tour with him.
