Great Tour - Carlos (the driver) was very kind and helpful. Great tour. My Mum of 75 managed to walk the Guatavita part without too much problem. Really enjoyed it. The Cathedral is amazing.

Don't join if you don't speak Spanish - The 2-hour tour to Guatavita was in full Spanish without a single word of English translation. It was really a pain to blindly follow a big group of Spanish speaking tourists. Although it has been set out on the website, a brief summary in English would be much pleasant. I offered some extra money to the driver called Kelly who agreed to send me back to hotel instead of the original drop off point as I didn't want to struggle with the notorious taxi drivers in Bogota. We agreed a fixed price but when she sent off the other passengers she said I need to pay an extra 60% because that was the uber price at that time. I tried to reason with her as the price had been agreed by both of us. Obviously she did not respect the spirit of verbal contract and just asked me to a taxi. As it was already 8 pm, I just jumped into a taxi nearby and was charged 35000 peso and later my hotel told me the trip should cost no more than 15000... That was my first day of tour in Bogota.
