• Barrio La Candelaria - You’ll be picked up from your place of stay in Bogotá and embarked on a narrated tour, where you’ll explore the most significant historical sites within La Candelaria. You’ll gain insights into the historical relevance of various iconic edifices, such as the birthplace of the initial revolutionary schemes and the execution sites of those who betrayed the cause. You’ll also visit other noteworthy spots including the Gabriel García Márquez Cultural Center, the Plaza Chorro de Quevedo, Plazoleta del Rosario, Plaza de Santander, Plaza de Bolívar, and the imposing Church of Our Lady of Candelaria that presides over this splendid public space.
• Mount Monserrate - You will rise to the impressive elevation of 10,341 ft (3152m) to the peak of Monserrate; towering nearly 2,000 ft above Bogotá. For the ascent, you may opt between the aerial cable car or the funicular (the cost is included in the tour) to reach the summit, where you’ll have the opportunity to peruse the local craft markets, visit an exquisite 17th-century monastery, and take in some of the most breathtaking panoramic vistas of the nation’s capital. You’ll discover the mountain’s centuries-old sanctity to the indigenous Muiscas, learn about the June solstice phenomenon when the Sun ascends directly behind Monserrate, and understand why throngs of pilgrims make their way here annually.

At the summit, you’ll pause for a meal before descending the mountain using either the cable car or funicular. Upon returning to the city level, you’ll be transported back to your lodging, with an anticipated return time of around 2pm.
